I used to have A LOT of credit card debt (but no student loans). But luckily I was able to pay it all off. Phew!
My parents didn't really teach me about money, and that's one thing I'm definitely going to teach my children. Those credit card offers giving away free t-shirts in college are not worth it!

I had a change of heart about my wedding dress so I splurged on another one...so I have about $3000 in cc debt. To some people, that may not seem like a lot but I worry about it allll the time!

We have a decent mortgage and about 40k in student loans (just paid off a bunch of them - woo!!). NO credit card/consumer debt. We're going to build a new home soon, so shortly we will be carrying two mortgages until our current home sells.

Nope! It's a great feeling having no cc debt. We have car payments and our mortgage. Our cars will be paid off in 5 months! Woo!

Fortunately we don't have any debt. That's a lesson I'll never forget from my dad and that I plan to teach my kids.

We have about 12k in combined student loan debt, I owe about 10 more months on my car...we have around $900 on a CC...no mortgage because we rent. DH's car is paid off...so not as much as some, but PLENTY enough to worry about sometimes...

no debt. I was a super worry wart in college with the credit cards. I graduated with $800 in cc debt but paid it off with the first few paychecks from my first job (post college). Ever since I've stayed away from debt like the plague.

I have about 65k in student loan debt 
On the payment plan I have right now, I'll be done paying when this baby is ready for college. DH has no student loan debt and we have about $3k in credit card debt combined...which we are planning to have paid off by the end of the summer.
I try not to think about the student loans or I might have a panic attack.

I have mortgage, car payment, 1 credit card, medical bills but my biggest headache is my student loans. Whaaaaaaaah I feel like I am never going to pay it off.

My parent's were pretty bad with how they spent their money and they had credit cards. I *thought* I would learn from them. Sadly, I did have credit card debt in college and I did make some mistakes. Live and learn, right? I do have a lot of student loans but my parents couldn't afford our college education. So I knew, in order to succeed in life, I had to go to college and pay for it. I don't regret my decision to go to college. Nowadays, with the horrible job market, I'm not so sure about college. I'm hoping it gets better by the time my future kids need to go to college.
I do wish my parents would have paid for my college or some of it then I could have saved all the money I got working to put towards a down payment or something. I do think, financially, I was held back. Ehhh, that's life!

We have a little bit of cc debt (less than 3k) and we still owe a little bit on FI's truck (maybe 5k?) Other than that we are good for now. Until I go back to Grad School. *sigh*

No car payments or cc debt. I have about $15k left in student loans, and we have a small amount left on our mortgage.
I wish I had learned money management earlier, though. I would have used more of my college earnings to pay for school and less on clothing (yes, that happened).

Nope. Hubby and I always pay off the credit card every month, that's one thing that my parents taught me. My hubby was worried because his mom didn't know that so she came with a lot of debt.
But we do have two mortgages, hubby's car payment, and his student loans.

Wow, you guys are so good... this thread AND the one about the savings accounts really make me wanna get our butts in gear!!! Rob Sr. and I have always had CC debt. We were foolish during our dating and first married years. Then just when we were getting control of our finances, I got laid off and couldn't find a job forever, then became a stay at home mom. We went even deeper into debt, even after I was holding 3 part time jobs and Rob Sr. was tutoring 3 students in addition to his full time job. We're currently very aggressively paying it off now that I'm back to work, but it is so disheartening sometimes. We're hoping to be completely free of CC debt by the time our next child is born...!
Other than that, we have our mortgage (technically an income property now that we rent it out and rent the place we live in) and I have a lot of student loans. Rob Sr. has very little student loans and they're all federal. We lease so we don't have a car loan.

We have a decent chunk of credit card debt (mostly DH's) from college but it's not a ton compared to other people's I've heard about. If we're diligent, we could pay it off in about a year. That's the goal, but of course life gets in the way.
Other than that, since we just paid off DH's car, and don't have a mortgage, all we have is my modest student loan. I'd like to get down to just the student loan before we get another car note. I'm surprised to not see more car debt!

We have our mortgage and my law school loans. My law school loans are like 2% interest so I don't think I'll pay them off early! .we have a credit card that we put EVERYTHING on so that we can get frequent flier miles, and pay it off every month. If we have big purchases, sometimes it rolls over for a month or two.

Unfortnately yes, but we are working on getting most of it paid off in the next 3 years. We both have student loans (40K combined), my car, and 1 credit card from the hubby that got out of control. We have made huge headway and got my CC from college paid off and his truck this year, but still have a lot to go. We also have a mortgage.

Thankfully no. We have a mortgage but could pay it off but have such a low interest rate that money is better left invested. Both of our parents paid for college so we were very lucky that way and then all the post-college education was paid for by the schools we went to so no school debt. We live very frugally so no cc debt and get to have a savings.

My law school loans + DH's law school loans = ughhh. Yes, we have debt! Thankfully, we are on track to have it paid off within 5 years of graduating. It will be such a huge raise when we each have a thousand extra dollars from our paycheck that isn't being paid on our loans. We cannot wait to be debt free!

None thank goodness. We rent, don't have a car, and I was lucky enough to have dh be able to pay off my student loan with his bonus a few years ago.

Our biggest debt is our student loans around $75K right now (my undergrad + our grad)... but I'm a forever student and we only take out what we can afford to pay in the future (in terms of inheritance, etc.) We also have our mortgage...

Mortgage and 1 car 'cos we had to get a mini van for our expanding family. We used to pay off all our credit cards until we bought this new house in a good school district 1.5 years ago. We are just paying interest (very low), not sure when we will be able to pay it off ... I am anxious to clear it but as a previous poster said, there's life like medical bills for our twins or property tax -_- DH is the finance guy of the household so I just leave it to him. If I even think about it, I can't sleep

We have our mortgage and 1 car loan. We somehow timed it so that we would only have 1 car loan at any given time (vs 2 at the same time). No cc debt. We pay off our credit cards every month and try to only buy things we can afford to pay off that month. We're trying to make an extra mortgage payment a year and cut our 30 year loan by half. sigh. That would be nice....

None, we're debt free and currently renting until we move. Then we'll have a small mortgage and maybe a car loan, not sure.
I paid off my student loans when I wasn't getting the benefit of the interest deduction on my taxes, DH went to college at no cost to him because it's covered for Swiss citizens.
