In our current home, we have a small Backyard. We considered demolishing it and just put in a whole new yard but space is just really an issue. In our new home, we practically bought the house because we fell In love with the yard space. I totally see entertaining there and just letting the kids run around like crazy! I can't wait to move in!

Kind of.. We're In an apartment so it's not "ours" but it's a great sized park and pond behind the building.

Yes we own 160 acres so our yard is gigantic! Lots of work though!

I love the space, we have half an acre. But it's not very well maintained at the moment. It makes me sad, but we can't afford a landscaper, and with twins we don't have time to so much beyond mowing. So I just keep our patio and front door beds nice since it's what we see the most

We're working on it. Since we bought our house during the winter, our backyard turned out to be a bonus and a never ending source of work. We thought it would be this sad desolate area, when in fact it was a untamed jungle of unkept plants growing, literally everywhere.
We've done tons of work already, but it's no where near nice yet. Maybe in the next few years. There's still so much to do!

i am in love with my backyard! we just moved into a new house, and the previous owner was an old lady who did lots of landscaping, plus there are huge, tall old trees, so it feels very private and cozy. Compared to my last house in a subdivision that the backyard faced other people's backyards.

Nope. We have a pretty tiny yard that our dog has destroyed. It used to have grass and now it's all dirt.
Our next house, we want a bigger yard!

I think so! This is only our second summer in the house, so it's still a work in progress. We have a big low deck and I think it needs some gardens around it, rather than just a drop off to the grass. And we need a new garage. And the flower gardens need to be fixed (the previous owners were not gardeners).

It's huge but its all dirt and rocks. AKA Arizona "desert" landscaping.

It's nice, but since its a rental we're trying not to put too much money into it. My goal is to make it homey on a budget this summer. Sadly there are no trees, but its a big yard, deck and room for a garden, and we have a little gravel spot next to our patio that we've turned into a fire pit area.
This weekend will be all about planting more flowers to add some color!

We have a condo/townhouse with just a balcony for outdoor space. I can't wait till we buy our forever house so I can plant flowers.

It's ok. LOL! No trees, but I keep it mowed, that's about it! I want an outdoor rug and new patio set, but it's not in the budget. I'll wait for the fall sales.

We have a nice backyard but we have some improvements planned. This summer is all about getting established, but next summer, we're going to put in big, raised flower beds, a built in grill, and a fire pit. Plus we're going to gut two of the current flower beds so we have space to extend my husband's garden.

Yup, our house sits on 3/4 acres so if I had to guess the backyard is 1/2 an acre? We have a inground pool and a beautiful willow tree way at the back of our property. In the next few years we plan to put up a 6' stockade fence around our whole property, build a two level deck and a fire pit.

We have pretty big yard space, but it's a swamp when it rains! So we don't really go out there, ever.

I am in love with our yard. After four years in our house, we finally put a giant stamped concrete patio in last fall. Then, earlier this month, we had all new sod put in (our grass back there was a disaster thanks to terrible soil). DH built some beautiful planter boxes for either side of the patio and I've filled them with pretty plants, and we have some really lovely mismatched clay pots lining the steps and their filled with a variety of herbs and some more flowers. I spend a lot of time out there when DD's sleeping and I LOVE it!

Eh. We have a pool which is cool, but it takes up the ENTIRE yard. We have a small side yard that's fenced in and some flower bed around the pool, but I rather just have an empty yard sans pool.

It's ok. The space is great, about an acre of flat grass (well, half grass, half weeds, but it's green!). But we'd like to do some nice landscaping around the house.

We have a huge backyard and only half of it is nice. The previous owners let everything overgrow & never took care of the landscaping, so we inherited one heck of a mess that we aren't really sure how to take care of ourselves!
We've been making slow improvements to the front landscaping over the last 4 years, but yesterday we received a quote (and today we are accepting it!!) to have the crappy part of our back yard demolished.
There are no words. I am beyond overjoyed for this. Seriously. Time for a huge party & a hammock!!!!

Yes but we do not have a privacy fence, I really wish he had a fence. But it's a nice big backyard!

We have a pretty small city back yard. But at least it's fenced in for our dog! We have some dirt spots back there that the previous owner used as a "sand box" basically dug the grass out and pour sand over the dirt......wonderful! So now....we have to dig up as much of the sand as possible so that I can put sod down.

We mulched half of our yard. growing a lot of hydrangeas, roses and other flower bushes. Details make a yard look good I think. we have a dog, so it is hard to keep up with the details!
Our next house, we want a bigger yard!
