I do... I'm definitely not proud of it. I have the hardest time controlling it, but I need to start trying harder because DD is picking up some of the words :-O
Do you have a potty mouth? Is/was it hard to control it around your child(ren)?

@BabyBoecksMom: Not awful. DH is REALLY REALLY bad. I mentioned a swear jar (mostly bc I want money so I can buy some boots I'm lusting over). But he laughed at me.

I don't. I feel like I sound strange when I cuss.

Like a sailor... we are starting our cuss jar on his 2nd birthday. Livin it up for now, less than 3 weeks before I become broke and his college fund grows exponentially.

Oh yes, I'm a disgrace. DH is worse though! I'm pretty sure our child's first word will be an outrageous one.

@littlek: i like that you'd earn boots with your hub's potty mouth! i'm usually against swear jars because kids have their parents pay for swearing- i think swearing is a privilege you earn as an adult, but if you get to keep the money, i'm all for it!

I do.
I didn't realize how bad it was until one day when my LO was a newborn and I was taking her outside to our car in the parking garage and another guy getting in his car heard me say,
"Oh no, My My, your hair is all F----d up. Lemme fix your bow!" in like, baby talk.
Then he gave me a dirty look. Ooops?

@Anagram: haha, I used to tell newborn LO all the time "you are so F*ing precious!" But he really was!

I did because I work with all guys and hang out with a bunch of potty mouths. Once I became pregnant and had LO, I'm pretty good about watching my mouth. DH on the other hand, oh Charles....

Oh definitely. DH even calls me out on it sometimes. But I have a VERY conservative family, so I have years of practice with turning it off. I'm sure I'll slip with kids some, but we also won't be strict about certain words once they're old enough. (Like damn, since it doesn't insult anyone and isn't sexual.) Granted, we'll be homeschooling, so it's less of a concern anyway, since there's no risk of them getting in trouble at school for something they picked up from us.
ETA- My sister-in-law uses AWFUL language (like the way I talked in high school when I first discovered swearing and enjoyed the "rebellious" aspect) in front of her 2 year old. I have no idea how that kid hasn't gotten in loads of trouble at preschool.

Ugh, yes. I'm trying so hard to curb it in front of E. This morning I actually went outside and let out a long string of curses just to get it out.

I do not. I realized after taking a phone calling day from an irate coworker that he sounded like a complete dolt and cleaned up my act.

Yes but not at work...most of the time. If you surprise me you're probably getting cussed at. My DH thinks it'll be horrible to break but we'll see.

Soooo bad. I try hard on the internets, at work and in front of the kids. So people probably don't think I do, but when it's just DH and I, or me and my girls, I am the woooooorst.
