We haven't bought a big pumpkin yet! We bought 5 small ones for indoors, since Charlie loves pumpkins. But it's time to get a big one, I think. Charlie will love carving it, and Olive will try to put all the gunk from inside in her mouth. Ah, Halloween.

Yep, we bought three Huge, medium and small last weekend, took Prettybaby to the pumpkin patch for the first time. I also have a bunch of mini's with soume mini gourds in the house on a plate thingy for decoration.

It's too humid in Florida for real pumpkins -- they get moldy so fast -- so we just bought a plastic jack o lantern from Target!

Yes, I got them last weekend. I got a regular in case I feel like carving (I'm undecided - I just do it if the mood strikes) and one of those 'heirloom' flat red tomato looking ones. I also got 4 mini white ones for inside. I love picking out pumpkins!

I bought two sugar or pie pumpkins to make some pumpkin purée.
At the time I bought them (2 weeks ago)the DH asked me if they were for carving. I told him it was a little early for them.
I think it's a good time now to get one.

Not yet. Actually, we may not get one at all. I don't think we did last year. I've not put up any fall/halloween decorations either. Maybe I should find time to do that this weekend...

Not yet, but I have ALL of my ceramic/metal/decorative pumpkins out and I don't have to worry about them rotting all over the place. Not sure if we are going to buy any fresh ones.

We went to the orchard on Monday but didn't buy any pumpkins because they're so expensive. Later that day we bought some from Trader Joe's and my LO was thrilled since he had just seen a field of pumpkins a few hours before. Now he points to them around the house and says 'pumpkin.' Can't wait to carve them.

I don't think we'll get one, but I would really like to roast pumpkin seeds! I roasted spaghetti squash seeds the other day and they tasted pretty close, though.

We're going to the pumpkin patch on Sunday. My older daughter loves it! She's been so excited since they started putting pumpkins out by all the stores. She also says, "Happy Halloween!" every day.

Yep, we have 3 on our front porch. My husband bought them from a farmer down the road from us when he was buttering him up for hunting rights.

We have two big pumpkins on our porch for decoration. We'll buy some to carve next weekend, once Halloween is close! When we buy them early and carve them, they always end up rotting. Gross.

No, DH hates all that stuff so it's no fun trying to get him to participate. I'll have someone to enjoy it with when the kiddos come and are old enough to care.
I wouldn't carve it...just paint it:)

We aren't putting one outside this year (last year it just got gross!) but did go buy a little pumpkin family this past Sunday with the baby
