I anticipate that we'll fly out to LA to visit my parents at least once a year, so we have a second set of baby gear at their house: 2 car seats, umbrella stroller, portable high chair, and a pack n play.
Once Olive is a little bit older (maybe 2)? I want to drop them off at grandma's house and go on vacation with Mr. Bee.

I'm sending a convertible car seat to my parents' place next week! LO sleeps on the floor when we're there, so won't need any additional gear..
Debating on a booster seat, but don't think it'll be worth it since we only visit 1, maybe 2 times a year.

Yep! My parents specifically bought a pack n' play and highchair for us to use when we go visit; DH's parents also have an extra crib we use when we visit them!

Yeah, we have some stuff. They have a crib, a booster seat, carseat. They also had a bouncer, swing, and baby bathtub for when LO was younger. THey live 10 hours away, but we go several times a year for at least a few days, and it's really helpful to have everything we need. It also looks like they're going to be moving to our state this year, so then it'll really make sense for them to have their own gear at their house.

Both my parent's and DH's parents live close to us so we're over there a lot, but it's also just as easy to bring a lot of the stuff with us like strollers since we're not flying, and whoever babysits just takes our van so they don't need a car seat.
They both have high chairs, my mom has a pack n play. I think that's it.

We will! But the good news is that my BFF is done having kids and her youngest is a year now. Plus all her sisters are done having kids and they had duplicates of everything at their parent's house (we are close with the whole family). So all of their stuff is going to my parents.
ETA: My parents live a plane ride away so just bringing things with us would be very difficult.

We're talking about having a rock'n'play thing at my IL's house since they live about an hour away. We figure that LO will be able to sleep and hang out in that. We'll probably just bring whatever else with us.

baby isn't even here yet and my mom has a pack n play with a changer and a swing....and some clothing she bought for her place.
I'm too paranoid to let baby ride with anyone and my mom doesn't leave home MUCH so we won't be getting a 2nd car seat

At my parents house there's a convertible carseat, infant carseat, stroller, booster seat, bouncer, pack n' play and of course diapers and quite a few clothes/toys.
...I obviously spend a lot of time with my parents, haha.

Yes, well my mom insisted she have everything, the only exception is a swing, my youngest niece busted it DH's parents don't have as much, but we will probably get an extra base for their vehicle.

We are lucky to have a lot of hand me downs-- my cousin lives near my parents, so she dropped off a high chair, a crib, and lots of other things like exersaucers, playpens, etc. so they are fully equipped! We never fly, we always drive, so we have our carseats and stroller with us.

A lot of the hand-me-downs are going to the grandparents. We have doubles and triples of a lot of things.

Yup, only because we have a ton of hand me downs from their cousins that are stored there. Both gear and clothes. We, technically, can just travel with the clothes on our back to ny each time - but of course, that doesn't happen because I like to make things hard for us.

I'm still pregnant, but I just tripped across a brand new graco pack and play (base model) at target for $34. it was an internet return, so I grabbed it for my mom. I'm there all the time as it is now, because we only live 5 minutes away...so I'll probably bring things with me that we need, but I don't doubt that they'll invest in their own toys, books, high chair etc.

Yup. We've only bought a booster seat and convertible car seat though. Everything else: pack n play, exersaucer, bouncy chair, swing etc we borrowed from various friends that live in the area.

My parents were gifted a bunch of stuff - a crib (I checked recalls on it), high chair, bouncy seat, toys, playmat, etc. They have a "Grandparents Closet" in their neighborhood where they can borrow anything they need when we come to visit, too! They will rent a pack n play when I take M there next week. So, we don't need to take anything with us. They can even borrow car seats but we will just use ours.

MIL set up their guest room as a nursery. Crib, toddler bed, lil chair, clothes, books, and all... :T
We'll probably keep a pack and play at my mom's but she'll be at our house watching LO as she is our primary caretaker plan.
Both of our parents only live 20 min away....

My mom is all set. SHe had a room just for the kids. Includes crib, highchair (she lent the park n play to my dad) she has toys, a pool for the kids, coloring books, and all the baby products. (and pacifiers.
That's not the case with my MIL though. She comes over to my house to babysit.

Yup, we do. We have a full nursery plus 2 high chairs, car seat, stroller, sand pit and bunch of toys and books.
Same at my IL's house.
