Yes, LOVE it. It saves me money by doing nothing different.

@LuLu Mom: Do you know if you can get more than one debit card? Like one in your name and one for DH attached to the same account?
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
I looove it. same as @LuLu Mom: I'd be paying for the stuff anyway, cartwheel & redcard give me money back for nothing!

yep, redcard credit (only because i ddin't have a copy of chk at the store)... i pay it off right after i have big purchases and/or monthly it's nice to have the built in discount, etc.

No we don't have one, there isn't a target conveniently located to us so we never shop there
pomegranate / 3904 posts
Yep, we have the debit card, and I love the 5% discount and free shipping.

I have the debit card and it's great. I don't find myself buying more/less than I would have otherwise, and it's nice to have the discount!

@cmomma17: I know that DH applied for it (since I don't have a credit score/history) and then we ordered a second one through Target - linked to the same account - with my name on it. So I'm assuming it'd work the other way around
ETA: We have the Debit card. I can even use it at the in-store Starbucks and get the Target discount

@sorrycharlie: I have the credit card. What is cartwheel? OMG what have I been missing out on?!?!?!
cantaloupe / 6634 posts
I LOVE the free shipping. DH and I have purchased HUGE pieces of furniture and the shipping was free!

@simplyfelicity: It's an app. I'm not sure if its on Android but I know it's on iPhone. It's the best thing ever if you shop at Target regularly. They have coupons like 15% off Toddler Boys clothes or 5% off K-cups, the likes. You get to 'clip' a set number of them (say 12 or 13) to use in store. They just scan the barcode off you phone!
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
@simplyfelicity: cartwheel is an app! girrrrrrl..you are missing out. you basically pick what you wanna save on, scan at the register and voila. I've saved over $100 on stuff I was buying anyway - groceries, diapers, wipes, etc. the more you use it, the more "spots" open up to pick more deals!!

We have the credit card and do love it. I'm saving 5% on things I would normally buy anyway! And the free shipping is so nice. We don't do anything debit related except where we have to.

I have the Target Debit card and I love it. Like, LOVE it. It links to my checking, so I'm not spending money i don't have, plus I get 5% off my purchases and free shipping at target.com. I am usually able to stack the 5% card discount with Cartwheel discounts and save between $5-10 every trip without clipping actual coupons. YEYYYY!!!

We have the redcard credit card, but I recently got the debit card.
Actually our trips to Target have gone down a lot. I have no urge to go. Even if I need to go, I don't go. Costco now replaces my Target urge.

I go at least once a week and spend at least $100 each time, so I finally broke down and go it. Between that and the cartwheel app and coupons, I have really started saving. Of course, it's all relative since I still buy tons of stuff I didn't "plan" on.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
Yes and love it! I go there often and can stack all the coupons/cartwheel w/ teh 5%. Plus I can order from website and get free shipping w/ any amt!
clementine / 794 posts
@cmomma17: We have the debit card, we are on separate "accounts" on targets side but it all comes out of the same bank account. However ours is set up like that because we each had a red card before we were married so it was easier just to keep it how it was but you can have cards for multiple people on the same account for debit also.

I got the credit card for the free shipping. Since LO has been born, I have trouble finding time to go to the store so I like being able to order stuff online without trying to meet the minimum amount that you need for free shipping without the credit card.

I have the debit card. I like the discount when I don't feel like using my point-accruing Amex.
kiwi / 633 posts
Yup, LOVE it! Free shipping and automatic 5% off? no brainer for me We have it set up to automatically pay itself off every month (we don't shop there all that often anyway) so although the interest rate is on the higher side, it doesn't even affect us.
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
@cmomma17: I'm not sure, we only have one since I'm the Target shopper, but I would think you could have 2 cards tied to same checking account!
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
We shop there a lot so we really should get one, but we haven't.
coconut / 8861 posts
I recently got the credit card on DH's suggestion. I love it. Combined with cartwheel, I really save a lot. It's been an awesome decision since we got it. DH has a card on the same account with me.
honeydew / 7909 posts
I have the debit and idk why I didn't get one sooner! Free shipping, 5% off - heck yeah!
GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts
@chopsuey: same! I just don't need more credit or debit cards in my wallet.
cantaloupe / 6164 posts
Love it! I don't understand why anyone wouldn't get it. No hassle way to save 5% every time you shop. That's tax for us, so basically, every time I shop at Target I don't pay tax. Plus, I use mobile coupons, printable coupons from their website, and Cartwheel to save even more. Went yesterday and my original total was $147, between the card, cartwheel, and mobile coupons, my final total was $104!
