30 gallon saltwater tank.
we've had a few rounds of 're-starting' it. it's dh's hobby. when we were doign corals it got to be pretty expensive. right now we have a few fish, hermit crabs, 1 coral, and it's not $$. But it's a PITA for water changes, etc. for DH.

How big is your tank? 44 gallon freshwater
What kind of fish do you have? African cyclids & pleco's
Is it very difficult to maintain? Freshwater is not too bad, just need to change water mostly, everything else is auto and he had the pleco to clean algae
Do you find it expensive? Less than saltwater, although saltwater aquarium is prettier! Freshwater def is less expensive and less maintenance
Any tips for someone just starting out? Definitely figure out how much work you're willing to do and how much money you're willing to spend! If it's not an intense hobby maybe just get a small tank with just a few fish. DH is really into it so he's willing to put in the $/effort. Also research what types of fish get along best so they don't eat/kill each other!
