I do that too. Hover, never touch the seat, flush with my foot, wash hands, open door with the paper towel.

Place two seat covers over toilet, or toilet paper if there are no covers. Squat over toilet.. if toilet isnt automatic I use my shoe to push/kick down or in the lever. (i do all this without ever ever touching the toilet.) I usually kick the seat covers with my foot if they dont fall in on their own (when im done)

wash my hands, grab paper towels open door with paper towels.
Then I
grab hand sanitizer in purse or diaper bag and use it.. when im out of restroom.

I never thought to prepare paper towels before hand.. but many restrooms dont have paper towels and they have those air drier things.

I put down toilet paper on the seat before I go or use the provided wax seat covers, I only hover if I absolutely have to. I struggle to go pee if I hover or I end up making a mess by trickling pee or pee that somehow isn't "aimed" right(???).

I always flush the toilet with my feet and I generally open the door with the paper towel also.

I put toilet paper on the seat and sit - if I hover, I end up peeing all over my pants! LOL! I flush with my foot and open the door with my sleeve.

Mine's the same, except I flush with my foot. Even if the flusher is placed pretty high (like a button at shoulder height)... I have a high kick and will still use my foot.

@highwire: @kiddosc: I'm with you gross girls. If I have to use a public restroom I just use it like I'd use it at home. I do carry hand sanitizer as back up though.

It depends. If the seat looks clean, I'll sit, but if I'm somewhere icky like the mall or an airport, or it looks not clean, I hover. I'm pretty good at hovering, but I had a lot of practice in nasty bar bathrooms in college. Always flush with my foot-- largely because I know other people do and I don't want MY hand basically touching the floor! I'm less careful about using the paper towels to turn off the faucet or open the door though, which is dumb, since it's the last thing you touch as opposed to everything I avoid touching BEFORE washing my hands.
BUT, can we talk about people not washing their hands in public restrooms? Ew! Do what you want at home, but I've seen people in my work bathroom just dip their finger tips under the water and dry them. That's not washing! THEN I use the paper towel trick.

I hover!

I squat only if the seat is gross looking. I flush all handles with my foot. I prefer to open the door with a paper towel when I leave. Not toooo crazy, I don't think.

I haven't tried hovering yet, does it leave a wet mess? I don't know why sometimes the toilet seat cover if completely wet with urine. I always thought it was a child but could be one with poor hovering skills? That could be me if I tried.

Yup I sit on the toilet. I always check it first though. I tried to hover when I was like 8 and I peed all over my pants. I was mortified.

I have a huge phobia of public restrooms. I hover (I'm awesome at it from years of peeing in disgusting, puke-ridden club bathrooms), flush w/my foot, turn off the water w/a paper towel (if the paper towel dispenser has a button, I'll dispense the paper towel before I start washing my hands so I don't have to touch the button w/clean hands), and open the door w/a paper towel.
