Yes...most of my elementary school pictures are plaqued with them. My sisters & I sported fros for sure!

Yup! Tons of perms when I was in elementary school. I did pageants and perms helped expedite and hold curls since my hair is terrible at holding curls. Still is!

Eh, it's not the worst... I got a perm between 7th and 8th grade. My hair was long enough so it wasn't TOO poofy. The problem with the picture I do have though, is that I had spent 2 weeks at a beach condo, so I was DARK! Like, woah. So that's what stands out in the picture!

I did, when I was in 4th grade, I think? I can't imagine perming C's hair EVER. I think it was a popular thing to do in our area. I remember thinking that I was so cool, like Stacy from the Babysitters-Club with my perm

My hair is pin straight. When I was in middle school (when mullets were popular), my grandma gave me a Tone perm.... only on top and kept the back straight. Eeek it was horrible

I was not allowed to get a perm. My best friend had a crimping iron, however, so there was a lot of crimping followed by backcombing and hairspray at sleepovers. Sadly, no photographic evidence.

I never had a perm, but so many girls that I went to elementary school with had them! My hair was straight through most of elementary school (a combo of it being really long and lice medication being so strong it straightened it) and I wanted curls, but my mom would never allow me to have one.
