I don't even own one, my mom thinks it's very odd. I have a couple hand written ones in a folder but mostly I just look online, it's so much easier!

Yup! But they've all been gifts, mostly from my mother. A lot of them were on my wish list though. I prefer physical cookbooks to digital. But I do mostly look up recipes online. However I find cookbooks are MUCH more reputable than online recipes!

@mrs. bird: see I love physical books too, I've just never owned a cookbook. I bet if I had one I'd like it.

@Mrs. Pen: when I'm looking up a recipe online I find there are 20 different versions of it and I think I spend more time trying to decide which one to go with haha!

@Bao: hahah same. I have started using online recipes as inspiration instead. I take a little from one and a little from another and kind of mix and match

we have two tall bookcases packed to the gills with cookbooks and food-related books. plus some more scattered around because we've run out of shelf space.

Not too many. I usually find recipes online and jot them down. Out of my limited collection, America's Test Kitchen Family Cookbook is my favorite.

Get anything by Cooks Illustrated or America's Test Kitchen; they are the best and totally worth having as paper copies. The only one I use!

I have a bunch of them but I rarely use them. If I'm looking for something new, Pinterest is my go to lately.

Yes, I love cookbooks especially for the stunning photography. Jamie Oliver's books are my fave.

I have probably a dozen cookbooks, but admit that I usually look online for new recipes to try!

I have America's Test Kitchen, the one I use alllllll the time! It has a lot of useful tips and shortcuts that others don't have.

I collect them. My favorites are church or club fundraising ones with normal recipes and ingredients. I will always buy a fundraising cookbook because my favorite recipes have come f them.

I have about 2 dozen cookbooks and a binder with save-worthy-recipes I've accumulated for over 10 years. These days I do prefer to just find recipes online, but I can't resist a really beautiful cookbook if I come across one. My last 2 cookbook additions were: Momofuku & Sophie Dahl's Voluptuous delights. I want to get Smitten Kitchen next.

I have a few, maybe 7 or 8 but the ones I always look at are:
How to Cook Everything (mark Birman) and one of
Ina Gartens Barefoot Contessa books.

I have like 6 or 7 books, and a few boxes of recipe cards. When I moved out my mom sent me with a box of written recipes that I grew up eating. I refer to them all the time! Even when I find something online that I like I print it out and put it in my box.

@shopaholic: I just bought the smitten kitchen cookbook a few weeks ago. EVERYTHING I've made from it has been amazing--I love her stuff!

@MrsTiz: This is what I do! I'll call my mom for recipes of things she used to always make, and started putting them in a binder and I refer back to those often.

@MrsTiz: Those kinds of recipes are the best!
@hilsy85: Glad to hear your review! I'm just starting to get back to being motivated to cook after a nauseous 1st & 2nd tri! Will have to order it soon!

I have several! I love River Road Recipies. It was put together by the Junior League of Baton Rouge in the 50s (I think that's when it was). There's lots of delicious stuff in there.

I probably have about a dozen but I almost never use them. My mom actually sent me The Smitten Kitchen cookbook for Christmas because she knows I read the blog haha.
