I totally regret not hiring a professional wedding coordinator! Would have made my stress level SO much lower. I also regret not hiring a better photographer. We were trying to budget and we went with our 3rd favorite photographer. Our wedding photos are "ok" but now I regret not paying a little bit more and going with our first choice. =\

I regret going with the second shooter of the photographer we really wanted. I also regret my dress big time.
We also regretted not paying for it to last at least another hour so we could actually have had time to dance.

@banana: I regret not making sure our friends weren't alcoholics and that they put all of their high school drama behind them. But hey, it makes for great stories.

I wish I would have requested more specific pictures, our photographer didn't do a very good job. I have zero with grandparents, and 1 with my parents and siblings. She missed the cake cutting and a lot of "you really missed that moment?" ones...ugh, so a new photographer altogether would have been great.

@Bao: I loved my photographer but we had that same problem. I think we only got 1 with my mom but got a ton with dh's family. Grrrrrr!

Yup, wish we would have gone with a different photographer. I wanted a photographer who captured moments, not posed photos. The photos we got are gorgeous, but they missed a lot of moments. It makes me sad.

Except we had a drunk cousin who kept knocking over wine glasses (like trays full of them). And another friend who got so wasted he ended up throwing up all over our bathroom in our honeymoon suite. Good times..good times...

@banana: That sounds like my wedding! A groomsman showed up at our door the next morning looking for his keys, wallet, phone, and credit card. It was insane. We didn't even get a drink until the reception was almost over!

@Bao: Similar happened to me. But, I did have a list of specifics and mine didn't get all that stuff, like a photo of just me and my grandma.
@Mrs. Polish: Haha yeah soooo much drinking at ours! I didn't even get to have one drink myself!

My only regret is getting so drunk
I was that bride. I was drinking sweet tea vodka, only I didn't realize the bartenders were giving it to me straight. I always mix with lemonade. Opps.

I regret not getting any group shots. Also my dad was really off... he said things like: don't pretend you're a guest here, be a better host. (that really made me sad)
DH regrets inviting his family and friends. Family got really drunk, friends all said they'd come and didn't show. Like 30 people. -
I wish I had relaxed more. I was so stressed it shows in my face in all my photos.

Regrets - I regret my dad was such a selfish jerk and declined to come because it was "too cold".
Done differently - cake design, no school bus (ended up not really being used and it was expensive), bridesmaid dresses.

Drinking too much at rehearsal dinner and falling and busting my lip right before the wedding.

I wish we had hired a photographer. I didn't know much about photography then, and just got a friend to do it. She didn't know much about shooting in low light and nearly all the photos were blurry

I loved our photos, but there were a few posed shots that I regret not getting. To be fair, I also didnt actually ask our photographer to do them. I'm sure she would have, so that one is on me.
I also do not love the hair accessory that I wore during the reception.
This is an odd one, but I regret not walking more slowly down the aisle. I feel like I rushed and didn't really take the time to see everyone and appreciate the moment.

No regrets! We had wedding crashers and family drama, but it all turned out just the way it was supposed to

tons! but it was still my favorite day (so far) so i'm fine with how it went. lots of 'shouldas', shoulda had a better seamstress so my dress didn't get trashed & i didn't have to buy a new one 3 days before the wedding, shoulda been more firm with our invites so we didn't have random people being inviting verbally by the ILs that we didn't have space for, shoulda lost 40lbs, shoulda hired a videographer, shoulda not had a new waxer the day before (only bikini wax i've ever bruised from... yes, BRUISED), shoulda had someone else pick up the ILs so they didn't show up 2 hours late.
meh, i married my best friend and had an amazing time, all those shouldas don't mean much now, other than the videographer, that i do actually regret.

Sometimes I wish we could have invited more people since I think we hurt some feelings. But I'm not sure it would have been as fun if there were more people, so I don't really regret it, I just regret that I think we hurt some feelings.

I wish I hadn't booked the wedding planner (she sucked BIG time), I wish I had been way more specific with the photographer (language barrier) and a few more things but it was hands down an AMAZING day so it's hard to regret anything really : )

There were tiny things here and there but I don't think there is anything I regret. Our DJ could have been better, I think that was the biggest thing I would change if I could, but the best ones were booked up, so I didn't have much of a choice, and he was fine.
I read so many things like this before the wedding that I vowed NOT to do any of them. I forced myself to stay in the moment and it worked out. It was my favorite day so far. People were even nice enough to hide the drunkest guest from me and whisk him away

UGH, having one! It was a mess! Lots of family drama (woohoo divorced parents) and DIY messes and organizing and budgeting. I wish we had eloped! But it feels so far away now. I am embarrassed to admit it wasn't until I had LO that I kinda got over the whole wedding-is-my-big-day-but-it-totally-sucked thing. My birth experience was great and I didn't allow anyone else's drama or stressor to creep in.

Photographer for sure. We did our entire wedding for less than NZ$3000, so to keep it inexpensive we hired my wannabe photographer friend. Don't get me wrong... The pictures are nice. But my Mum could have taken the same pictures with a point and shoot for free. I wish we had splurged a little for a real photographer.

1. That we didn't invite more friends over family! We had a small wedding & out of the 85 RSVP yes' 15 of DH's immediate family members (half siblings) & a few cousins just didn't show.
2. That I didn't get very many detail pics or more family pics
3. That I didn't have my hair done professionally.For our vow renewal I'll go with a more traditional time & reception as well (we did brunch).

1. Drinking champagne the night before. Alcohol is a big migraine trigger for me so that was just stupid.
2. My shoes. They were beautiful but my feet killed me before it started! I changed into flats but it was too late, damage was done. -

Hair and make-up! I got my hair and make-up professionally done but in the end I feel like I don't look like me. I have "bridal hair", which does not suit me and I am ridiculously pale. But I was so happy, it doesn't really matter. I loved getting married to my husband.

I completely loved my wedding! If I had to be nit-picky...I regret spending months looking for cute comfortable shoes for my wedding and then deciding to wear new shoes to my rehearsal dinner. I had horrible blisters and wound up in flip flops! Luckily, I had the best maid of honor/bridesmaids who were prepared with band aids for me!
@Minnie_Girl: That totally sucks!!! I used birth control to change my cycle because that was seriously my worst nightmare!
We also regretted not paying for it to last at least another hour so we could actually have had time to dance.
