Yep - I love love love my TV shows. We have cable including HBO, Showtime, Starz, and Cinemax (it came with our bundle). We also have Netflix instant-streaming.

Yeah...DH won't let me dump it, even though I never have it on during the day. It's only him that watches it, really...sometimes DS.

Yep - but we don't watch a lot in the summer. The TV hasn't been on for more than an hour so far all week!

Nope. I wish I could just pick and choose maybe 5 channels and is be happy.

Nope. We used to (we started with the entiiiire deal--HBO, DVR stuff, etc., then switched down to basic), but just in the last month or two decided to cancel it. It wasn't worth the extra almost 100 bucks a month for just me (since DH travels so much) to watch a random episode of The Real World (or some equally awful reality show). We've been totally fine without it!

Yep. We'd get rid of it, but we get a better deal on our phone and Internet by having it. It's dumb though because we're too busy to keep up with any shows or really watch any TV at all and I'd I do want to watch a show, I watch something on Hulu or Netflix on the big computer screen that's on the desk at the end of our bed.

Nope, we used to, but I realized I don't really need it anymore. Plus it's saving us $60/month!

We do but want to switch to basic and then watch the rest of our shows on Netflix/network websites. We are trying to figure out the logistics....
I hate the amount of $$ that goes to our cable company every month. It's obscene!!

Nope. Don't miss it at all. We have Netflix discs and instant streaming. We used to pay $168 a month! Now we pay $24 for the Netflix. It is plenty. We also have rabbit ear antennae to get loal channels.

Nope, we have an HD digital antenna and a netflix and amazon prime subscription. I was considering signing up for cable for when I go on maternity leave, but Time Warner has a monopoly in my building and their prices are absolutely insane. $100 to set it up, and the cheapest packages start at $150/month. If I enter an address where Verizon Fios is available the prices are waaay better.

We have premium cable and hope to get rid f it. It is incredibly expensive and a cost we just don't really need . I watch most of my shows online, or on Netflix, anyway.

We are sports fanatics, so I don't see us getting rid of it anytime soon.
bananas / 9357 posts
Yes. I think I want to get rid of it and just hook up a computer to the TV to watch our shows.

@mrskc: that's what we did!!
We don't have cable or dish or anything but we do have bunny ears.

We just got FIOS tv because the rate for TV, internet, and home phone was equivalent to what I was paying for just home phone and internet. Prior to that, we only had Netflix for 5 years!

Not really. We used to have Virgin cable TV, but then it got too expensive so we just have Freeview now, which is well, free and is still 50 or so channels.

We do...we for rid of it for a while but missed it. Now we have Direct TV & Netflix. Looove watch instant w/Netflix!

nope! we were paying >$150/month for cable and the internet, got rid of both for a long time and used my iphone to stream netflix to the tv (special cord & we have unlimited data on our phones). now we have internet and very recently plugged the TV in to watch whatever channels we got with the antenna (CBS, ABC, a bunch of PBS, few spanish channels, METV, Bounce). i may unplug it though, i think commercials are toxic.

We do. I don't think we'll be getting rid of it anytime soon.
