@Sparkler: I'm 31. Although the debt was incurred during my 20's. I don't use the card anymore.

No. We pay it off every month and just use it to accumulate points. We've never had CC debt thankfully.

@LovelyPlum: it really is hard, but it is an amazing feeling when you are done - I love that even we have a "bad month" now, it's all our money, no one else's we are spending.

@runnerd: very fair! I'm excited for that. And, once we're done with this stupid CC debt, we can get to work on the student loans in earnest....ugh.

@mrs. wagon: Thanks! all my debt is on 1 CC and the rate is already pretty low at 9.9%
I guess I need to just cut back with unnecessary spending and throw $$ at it!

Thankfully no, we pay the bill in full monthly. We use the account as if it was a debit card.

Nope. I got my very first CC 6 months ago (that is mine and mine alone - when DH and I opened a joint account after we got married we got a joint CC that comes out of that account) and pay it by automatic withdrawal.
DH doesn't either, he's always paid it off.

Nope. We love our credit cards for the rewards but we've never carried any debt. My parents scared me silly when I got my first card in high school and it stuck

@Sparkler: That's a very valid point. I had cc debt in my 20s, but none in my 30s.

For the first time in a long time we have a little. I hate it. We have had too many things come up and with day care we needed to charge stuff. But we are getting a better footing finally so it will be gone soon. And the cards are not being used.

no, thank goodness. I've had it before, but never more than a couple thousand at a time.

@char54: We're the same. Definitely a lesson to thank our parents for!
I think dh went a little wild during college but he'd paid it off before he graduated.

THankfully, no. DH had quite a bit of CC debt when we first met. It took us a very long time to pay it all off. It's so relieving that it is!

No, DH and I have been fortunate enough to never have any cc debt. We've always paid it off each month, and will continue to do so.
We LOVE them for the cash back rewards! We put our new windows on our Discover and got $500 in cashback!

I had some emergencies in undergrad and had 6K, but paid that off in a year and don't carry a balance on my credit cards. Dh and I only use them for groceries, and pay it off each month. We have been fortunate to be able to save so if we have an emrgency we can use savings and not a credit card.

We don't have any. We do have credit cards, both personal and for the farm, but they are paid in full each month and are basically to just give us a healthy credit rating.

Nope. I never have had a credit card. DH had one at one point that he shared with his mom when they were renovating DH's (now our) house when he first bought it. We paid that off a while back and refuse to have any credit cards.

nope. we pay off our balances in full and we're trying to get on the YNAB plan on live on last months income as well.

sadly, yes. Huge life regret. I had a credit card with a very small limit. Then I was booking a trip a needed the limit raised to pay for the plane ticket and tour. I asked for the limit to be raised just high enough to cover that cost ( I had the money to pay, but I had to put it on a cc first. ) The bank told me I was approved to have it raised to a much higher amount. I kept saying I only wanted it raised to the $1500 I needed, but they wouldn't drop it. They kept pushing and pushing and pushing to raise it to the max that I was allowed. I finally got annoyed and agreed just to get going. Big mistake. I just kept using it ( I was so young haha) and it finally crept up and now I'm still trying to pay it off. That's one lesson I'll be sure to pass on though. Never have a credit card with a limit that you can't afford to pay off

None! I do use it a lot but pay it off in full before it's due. If I am a little short to pay it off, I have a LOC that has a very low interest rate and use that to pay for my CC. Then pay off my LOC when I have that extra cash. They are both currently at zero

Not for many years now, but in my twenties I had a bit - like, $1,000 or so.
