we have a different Baby Einstein playmat and Liv LOVED it. She played with it forever

I don't have either of those items, but we do have a play mat . . . it is a must in my book (although you won't need it right away) . . .

I have a rock n play, which seems similar to the first link you posted, and I love love love it. It's so easy to move around the house so I can always have LO with me and its been great for his slight reflux.

We have the rocker in a different print. I got it bc I like that she can use it as a toddler. LO liked it fine but she didn't like to be put down generally.

We have the rocker, but with a different print. We ended up getting it because LO liked the one at daycare so much. For us, it's replaced the Rock'n'play because LO has gotten so big. We take the rocker into the kitchen, in the bathroom when showering, even put it out on the balcony. I like that I can hang her toys off of it and when she pulls on them, it moves the rocker. It's definitely better for older babies though. I think she was over 3 months before she really got into it. If you can return it, I bought ours for $5 on craigslist. They are super cheap second hand.

We have that chair in a different print (bugs) and it has been one of our most used baby items. Both kids slept in it for a good portion of time between 0-3 months. I'd rock them to sleep in my arms and then put them in there with the vibrations on. Sometimes, if they woke up early, I could rock it with the vibrations on and they'd go back to sleep. The kids actually still use it to rock their stuffed animals to sleep. I just keep it in the playroom now.
