There is a couple we both really like but ever since their kids came around, they always expect us to come to them. Wih a baby on the way for us, I'm afraid we're never going to see them again!
Do you have friends like that who expect, if you get together, that you will go to them?

I have a bunch of friends who expect me to come to them and this was before and after I had LO. In my situation, it has nothing to do with having new responsibilities - it's more about them being a little selfish.

Yes, almost all of them (and only one has kids). It drives me nuts. One friend (who calls me her "best friend" but ignores me for weeks at a time...) lives in spt and she'll want me to come see her. So after work, I'll go to my parents house for a bit and she won't answer my calls. The next day, she'll text me and say she was tired or something to that effect. Granted, she has a 5 year old and is 7 months pregnant, but this has been happening long before she got pregnant.

Yep, DH's best friend -- who has 3 boys.
And, honestly, most of my gfs too.... I think I dug my own hole, cuz I'm always offering to come.... so I don't blame them. :T

ha! yes!!! but it kinda worked out.
When our couple friend had their girl, we would ALWAYS go over (even when I was pregnant) but when I gave birth, it switched and they would come over. Then they had their second... we went to them, and now that we have Sienna, they come over.
So i guess indirectly we compromised.

Yep-DH had a good set of friends from where he went to college, they stayed there and he moved to where we now live. They never come to visit us yet will drive right by to visit her sister. Whenever we are up their way they expect us to visit them.

Yes, I have a friend who I do dinner with a couple nights a month on the nights my husband has golf league. She always wants to go to her house. I prefer my own since there is a huge yard for the dogs to play (it's also a doggie date) and in a not so busy neighborhood. And she still has a roommate, so it's not just the two of us.

I have a friend who I always went to before I had lo because she had a lo. But when my lo came she started coming to me. In 2 months she'll have another baby though so ill go to her again.
I'm ok with it. I think whoever has the most or youngest babies wins because it's harder for them to go out.

Yes, I have a friend who wanted us to visit them 8 days after I had my C-section. Um, no!
