OMG! I hate them so much and I have no idea where they're all coming from!!!!!!!!!!
I killed 2 in LO's bathroom. (how the F did you get up there?! We don't eat up on the 3rd level!)
I feel like new ones appear every day. I throw our trash out daily or every other day.. but still!

Try putting a bit of beer in a bowl, cover it in plastic wrap and poke tiny holes in the plastic. They love the beer, and then they get trapped!!!

OMG Yes! I hate them!!! And like @kokobee, it's usually cause we have bananas. What is it about bananas that they love so much? UGH. I should change my user name cause I'm starting to hate bananas now.
And seriously, I can't kill one to save my life! They'll be flying around and I'll try to quickly grab one with my hand and think "Yah!! I gotcha!".... open my hand... nope...nothing there. How do they get away so darn fast????

@chopsuey119: I have a mole on the inside of my hand (on my palm) and sometimes I get excited cause I think it's a fruit fly but then I realize it's just my mole. =\

We get them sometimes - put out a glass of sweet wine and they will drown themselves in it!

@chopsuey119: not to be super gross, but if they're in the bathroom and not around food/trash, they might be drain flies. We get them in our building each summer. I put out a cup with a little water, a couple tablespoons of vinegar and a few drops of dish soap.

I freaking hate them!! We get them every year, along with big black flies at the beginning of the spring every year. UGH. Usually they just go away after a few weeks but they drive me INSANE. Usually bananas or the trash cans outside are the culprit, but sometimes it's just NOTHING. Seriously.
