My MIL just offered to host a mother's day brunch at her house. She's inviting my parents and my brother and SIL. I'm very excited... I thought about hosting everybody here but I've been so migrainey lately so I thought it was a bad idea for me to throw a party.

Yup! I've been dying to try the 100 mile radius meal at a local farm. They host s Mother's Day brunch every year so I asked for that. Then probably come home and chill.

I think we're doing brunch at the beach club but we haven't really discussed it yet. Can't believe it is next week already!
Oh, I am also going out Friday night with a bunch of mom friends.

My grandmother was unexpectedly diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer this past Monday and was only given a month or so to live. She is home now on hospice (but in GREAT spirits!) so everyone decided to skip their own Mother's Day traditions this year and spend her last with her. She doesn't know about it and I think she will be so happy to have so many people celebrate with her

We always get together at my aunts house. Usually I am helping the Dads and other non Moms plan the menu. This year I don't have to do anything so I am sure it will be planned last minute!

@rahlyrah: Oh my gosh I'm so sorry to hear that news, but I'm glad your family is coming together to make her day extra special. That will be so wonderful for her (and the rest of you!)!
We saw my MIL last night and we volunteered DH to smoke us something on the grill and have a lunch at our house. I'm going to see what my mom is doing, we might have her join us as well. It's my first, I'm getting excited!!

No plans here. Our moms live too far away.

I'm not a mom, so we've invited both sets of parents up to visit for the whole weekend. They live about 3 hours away. Should be super fun. Can't wait to give my mom and mil their gifts!

We are having our moms over, and my sister in laws and their partners, and also our one brother in laws parents. I think there will be 12 of us altogether. Likely we will just do something simple like BBQ chicken or burgers. This is my last year as a "non-mom" so in the future I likely won't be hosting.

LO will be meeting her great-grandma for the first time!! Should be a fun day
