@locavore_mama: You might have just convinced me to casually look every now and then for a sale.

I have one pair of Burberry rain boots with hearts and a black zip up pair of cole han rain boots. I lived in Philly and wore them often. In CA, not so much..

I don't have any and I can't honestly say I've ever needed them! It's pretty dry here.

I have black Hunters that I have had for several years. However, they have always been too big on me, I thought thick socks would help but it's not enough, and I wish I had returned them. I just bought a pair of mid-calf navy Aigle boots in the right size and have been wearing them most of this rainy week.

I own 2. One my DH bought years ago for mushroom hunting - they're cute and yellow with laces for show. My feet bleed when I walk in them.
Last spring I found a pair in a grocery store bargain bin, green gardening rain boots, no brand. They're the most comfortable boots ever! I love them.

I have two pair, green Hunters for the weekend and equestrian style from Banana Republic that I wear during the work week.

Green with daisies from the Target kids' section. They're cheap and do the job the 4 times it rains but doesn't freeze. All other times I just wear my big snow boots with better grip.

I have a pair that have b/w houndstooth print. They are great for days when there are heavy rainstorms which is a pretty regular occurrence. The water is to my ankles sometimes. I had several pairs that I wore out when I lived in Oregon. I love rain boots.

Nope. If I lived in the city, I'd see a reason for them. Since I live in the suburbs and get in my car in the garage, then park right outside my office building, I see no reason for them.

Short navy Hunters. I put the fleece liners in them, love!!
@petunia354: I use my Hunters as winter boots and have never had an issue with slipping like others have mentioned, probably depends on the climate you live in (eg I live in NYC where it doesn't get THAT cold/icy)

@mediagirl: Oh you will soon, if you take your LO to a farm or petting zoo type place...I was the same, saw no reason until my son became a muckety-muck.

I have a pair of tall black Hunters and a short chartreuse pair, also Hunters. I love them for rain, fishing, and gardening.

I have green Hunters, but unless it's really pouring I prefer to wear riding boots, the Hunters aren't as comfy to wear all day long

I have some, but I can never figure out when to wear them. It seems like I only need them for the 2 minutes I'm outside and then I don't want to be wearing them all day long. Maybe mine just aren't comfortable enough.

I have black hunters that I use a lot since it rains/post-snow slushes frequently here (Boston). I have the fleece socks but unfortunately my small feet/muscular leg combo means they don't fit. I do love stomping in puddles though!

Yes a pair of Wellies, but being in AZ, we never have a chance for rain, but I do use them for our feedlot and dairy lab for work. I love playing with the cows!
