I just bought a pair of boots online and the shaft height seems really tall to me. It says it's 16" based on a 8.5 size boot. I got a 6.5 and I'm hoping the height isn't nearly that tall! They are wide calf, so maybe they're assuming a wide calf means a long one?

Anyone know if height varies depending on the size? Is there a standard amount? They were on super sale, so I can't imagine returning them unless they look really silly haha. Just really hoping they work out!
