Yep, use them every time. Unless I run in for a quick one or two thing and forget to grab them. I keep them in my car trunk, so I can't forget them at home.

Yup! If I forget to bring them, then I just don't get bags and take the cart out to my car and put the items in without a bag.

I guess that wouldn't be an option for you though since you don't drive to the store...

@mrbee: I feel worse about the gas! At least the boxes are recyclable.

I have 3 bags that I keep in my car with LO's shopping cart cover so it makes it very easy to remember them.

I have about 12 bags in my trunk of my car. I separate them into two bags with 5 bags in each. So if I use 6 bags on one trip, I will always have another 6 bags in my car waiting for my next trip.

I used to use a lot of cheap reusable bags but the pile they made reminded me of the plastic bag pile I had before switching to reusable bags. Now I have upgraded to Kerribags (www.kerribag.com) I bought mine from amazon.com. I use two green and one blue bag. They are spacious, fold neatly and are heavy duty. The green ones make packing so easy, all the boxed items fit in nicely and the rest goes on top. The blue one is insulated and very well made, all chilled and frozen food stays cool even in the summer. THe bags don't tip over in the car. I love my bags, would highly recommend them.
After unloading them, I fold them, put them close to the door, then into the car. And therefore I never forget them anymore.

I use envirosax. They fold up nice and small so I usually keep 3 or 4 in my purse. Maybe you could keep some in your diaper bag or stroller?

i bring 5 reusable bags with me. some of them are getting a little dirty though, time to wash or get new ones!

i used to forget all the time, but recently have been in a good groove.

I used to do it about 80% of the time. Now, our county charges 10cents per bag, so I also bring reusable bags.

We keep a stash in our trunk, but I also have one that folds up very small and stays in my purse. That one is perfect for when you are running in for just a couple of things.
