I'm a little embarrassed to ask this but the husb and I have had an ongoing "argument" about this.

We inherited a ton of baby-related stuff from his sister. While I am grateful for everything, especially all the $$$ she saved us, it was also somewhat of a burden to go through everything and accept things even though I did not want them. (She lives in a different state so whenever she came to visit, we just brought everything she could without asking what I could use or want)

Case in point - I had a stroller in mind that I wanted but before I knew it, my SIL gave us two! (one regular, one umbrella). We use them and they are quite nice, but like a lot of things I received, they were not "my style" and prevented me from getting what I wanted.

I know this sounds stuck up. I truly do not mean to appear that way. I know products/gear usually last a few years before baby no longer needs it and I should be saving for other things he will need in the future....I suppose I just felt a little jipped in wanting to pick out things for me and my little one.
