I have stroller envy, I will always have it because they are always coming up with new styles. I am currently crushing on the Phil and Teds Promenade. Before that it was the Bugaboo Chameleon, but I got over it when I took it for a test drive.

I think I would be upset if my in-laws or parents insisted on buying the stroller they wanted to give me instead of the one I wanted. I don't understand that. Just buy the big things off the registry!

My LO stopped wanting to sit in a stroller ever since she started walking so I definitely am SO GLAD I don't have an uber expensive stroller. I do have a couple of cheaper strollers, though, so add them up and that is still a pretty penny.

I kind of get it. We are getting everything we can second hand, since it's really all about function right now. But I registered for a stroller and carseat, and my in-laws bought a different one for us. I didn't realize the stroller was only available online, and they don't order stuff online, so they went with a travel system. It wasn't what I wanted (DH didn't care), but later I had some extra money and bought the jogger that I wanted. It is nice to be able to pick out the things you like and that will work for your lifestyle, and a stroller kind of is dependent on your lifestyle.

At the same time, I cannot understand dropping a lot of money on an expensive stroller, especially one that you can't even run with. I spent under $400 on our jogger, and that was a huge splurge that we made because of the unexpected cash and both DH and I training for races. Maybe if I lived in a big city and used the stroller every single day, a more expensive one would be worth it, but I can't really see the difference between an $300 stroller and a $900 stroller.

We didn't really inherit anything from family members because everyone was still planning on having more kids and wanted to keep all of their gear. So we bought most of our items (or received them as gifts off our registry). I haven't felt any baby product envy because we pretty much bought what we wanted. But I would've LOVED to receive hand me downs. We ended up buying so many items and some of them I regret.

The one thing we did receive from a family friend was a Coco Bloom baby rocker that we absolutely love.

And I really wanted a Bugaboo Bee, which we ended up buying. The only thing I wanted that I didn't buy for myself for a glider/rocking chair. Hoping someone will give us their used one! lol

@mrs.yoyo: I didn't realize it was such a nice baby item until I looked it up online to see how you use it. It's absolutely gorgeous in person and my LO loved it. I still have it in my living room as room decor.

@hilsy85: I need air filled wheels because I go on lots of uneven terrain and foam wheels, like the bugaboo, don't do well on rocky dirt and cobblestones, IMO. It also isn't compatible with our car seat, so for me, that was a serious dealbreaker since the car seat trumps stroller for me.
