At this time, I make a lot more money than my parents do. I don't own a house and they do, though.

We make way more money than my parents. I'd say we're just as successful as my in laws. However, DH's more financially secure because we are 2 years off from paying off one home and he has multiple homes paid off. We'll catch up though.

We make more. But we live in a more expensive area, so I actually think my parents made more in terms of how much they could save after living expenses (My dad was a pilot for AA and I grew up in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere, West Texas).
We lived in a 4 bedroom, 3 living area house that cost less than my dad's yearly salary.

Nope, my dad makes much more than DH, but DH makes more than my mom. I am a SAHM.

No way! I would have to work like 4 times as much as I do to make that. I don't have any idea what my inlaws make.

No. But DH just started his career two years ago. When I'm working (probably not another 3 years til I finish school), we probably will. But my mom doesn't work - she's always been a SAHM.

Nope. My dad is well established in his job and I have quite a ways to catch up to him. And that's with my mom being a SAHM since they got married!!
