We didn't invite our childless friends to LO's recent 3rd birthday. I mean it was at 10am at a playground so I don't think it would have been very fun for them (I know I would not have been interested pre-kids!), and we're pretty good about getting together with people. I don't think anyone was offended!

For the first birthday, we invited our adult friends. But we won't be inviting them to any other birthday parties, unless we're close enough to feel like family (so my BFF is still invited, haha).

Only for first birthday! After that it was more about LO and we've held them at kid places with her friends. So my friends with no kids would not enjoy themselves.

We had a backyard party and we invited 2 sets of our closest friends. One set doesn't plan on having kids, the other haven't yet. We love them like family and can't imagine not including them in her special events.

That being said - that's just while the parties include adults. Once they are all kid parties, we won't invite them anymore.

We're the childless friends (until February) and I've only been invited to our closet friend's kids birthday parties - the relationship with the kid is almost aunt/uncle so it feels natural we would go to the family party. I haven't been invited to any of my other friend's kid's parties.

This post made me realize that I don't have any friends at don't have kids :bummed:. All of their actual aunts and uncles don't and we obviously invite them.

We did for his 1st bday, but just did family for 2nd birthday. We have HUGE group of friends so our guest list is always close to 100 if we include them. Heck, just family is already 30 something people!
