Ha! Since I take the train to work and walk about 8 blocks to/from work, I wear flip-flops or sneakers for my commute. I have a drawer full of shoes at work - probably 5 or 6 pairs!

@eiko2010: when I took the commuter train, under my desk looked like a shoe store. I would have to remember to bring home 'nice shoes' if I needed them on the weekend.

When I lived in Manhattan I kept pretty much all of my nice shoes at work and I wore either flip flops or Uggs for my commute. Now that I live in Nashville and drive to work I ususally wear my work shoes in, but I still keep an extra pair of pumps under my desk for emergencies.

However today... I'm wearing sneakers! I threw my back out over the weekend and basically my options were wear sneakers, or don't come to work. They are decent looking slide on ones under long pants so hopefully my boss won't yell at me.

@MamaMoose: I did the same thing! I hated getting my nice shoes all wrecked. In the winter, though, I'd wear my leather boots, those were a pain to keep in the office.

My coworkers make fun of the "shoe store" I have under my desk. Currently, there are 6 pairs. I drive to work in flip flops so I know I'll always have an option to match with whatever I'm wearing.

Yes, I keep about 7 pairs of shoes in my desk at work. I don't have room for them at home (shoe storage is a problem) and since I live in NYC and have to walk everywhere my heels barely leave the office.

When I was pg I actually drove to work in my slippers!!! I always have at leas on oe two pairs of backup shoes at work for situationS like that. I once broke a heel too, so they get used.

I have a pair of tennis shoes/socks that were intended to be used for walking from one location to another but since we can' wear anytime of shoes I don't worry about what I've got on.
