This doesn't count, but my mom is a cancer survivor! I like to brag on her, because she is AMAZING. She had late-stage ovarian cancer, which is very rarely survived. She is such a fighter. She's my hero.

My great grandmother was a breast cancer survivor. She passed away, but not from cancer and not until she was 93! (She had breast cancer 10-15 years prior).

This scares me so much. I forgo radiation to my chest (with dr ok) because there is an increased risk of breast cancer if you have radiation to that area at a young age.

My mom had stage 4 breast cancer 31 years ago (I was 4-5 while she was going through treatment and remember it well. My sister was 6 mo when my mom was diagnosed - cant imagine how scary that was for my parents with 2 young kids). My two aunts are also breast cancer survivors. One has also survived ovarian cancer (5-6 yrs ago).
ETA: My mom also survived uterine cancer about 10 years ago.
