A friend/acquaintance from high school just had her 8th LO. She had her first child the year after we graduated from high school...we are 34. She is LDS so I think large families are common!

I'm only 22 but I have a friend I graduated with that has 2. She had her first at 16 and her second last year. I know a couple of others with 2.
DH's cousin is a year older than me and has 3. All 3 are right in together in age.

Yes. Had a daughter as a sophomore, twins as a senior and then 2 more boys with her current husband.

@autumnlove: I live in lds land and most people are done having their babies at my age, so I know plenty of people with large families at my age... But 2 in particular stand out. They are both 38. One has 12 with the youngest being the same age as M and the other has 8 with the youngest being 5.
I think they both think I'm such a slacker with only two!

I know 2 other families that have 5 kids. One is a blended family like ours and the other girl I know from high school is divorced with 2, remarried then had 3 more! Two of us are 30 and my friend with the blended family is 27 I think.

I'm (almost) 24, but I know several people I graduated high school with who have 3 kids. One girl had 3 when we graduated (she had her first in middle school...), but I have no idea how many she has now.

I was going to come and say that at 30, I know a few women my age with three children, and one about to have her fourth. That seems like a ton to me!

One if my high school acquaintances has 6--we graduated 12 years ago but she had her first in 10th grade. Good friends, I think the most is 3 from someone my age.

@LazyLightning: 3 is most from my close friends!

3 is the highest number of kids any of my friends has but she is younger than me at 29. Her husband got the snip after their last baby but now she is two my friend really wants another!

I know someone the same age and someone a year younger who both have 3 kids. I'm 25.

@sarac: I was thinking the same thing! But then I realized I distantly know someone two years younger, so 28 with 5 of her own and 4 full time stepkids.

Friends my age with 4 apiece. (We had a pretty amazing kids area at my wedding.) My college roommate's sister has 6 or 7, I think. No one anywhere near 12!

Yeah! I know 2 families...one has 5 kids, the other has 4. For the 4 kid family, though, the parents were trying for #3 and got twins. The 5 kid family is all singletons, though.

I know a girl from high school who has 6 boys! She's 35, but still, that's a lot of boys!

3 is the most I know. One high school friend with 3 is in the process of adopting, so hopefully they'll soon have 4.

One of my friends (2 years younger) has 4 kids. A former friend (same age) had four the last time I heard about her. I wouldn't be surprised if she had more.
I'm 29 and I have two kids. I want one more.

The most is know is 1 child, and none of my friends have kids. I'm 27, and people are just starting to get married.

I can only think of one at the moment. She pregnant with her 4th and is 29. They're LDS, as well.

I have a SIL who has 5, but she's 3 years older than me. I know a couple of people I went to HS with have 3.

Yikes, I can't imagine some of these families! I'm sure there are people I went to HS or college with who have several kids, but nobody I'm close enough to keep in touch with. I can't think of any friends or acquaintances in our age range (early 30s) with more than two!

I know at least two different people from high school with 5 kids, and I'm in my early 30s.

What counts as a lot? I have a few friends that have 3 and since I only have 1 that's a lot to me!

Yep! My BFF has 5 kids! She's 30 and her oldest turns 13 today and her youngest is 4! She's the best mum ever.. I could never have done what she has - I would have gone nuts !! At least I know when I have a baby she'll be able to give me lots of help

@Mrs. Jacks: There are probably lots of young grandparents there!

@Mrs. Jacks: jaw dropped.
