I have never used one before, but my grandma is giving me her really nice one so I can do a bunch of Pinterest inspired DIY's
Have you ever used a sewing machine? Are you pretty crafty?

I do own a sewing machine but I'm definitely still a beginner.

I'm definitely a beginner. My mom is an expert and one of my sisters is really talented with a sewing machine.

I can sew a hem or a straight line, but nothing fancy and not often.

Err...I'm so awful. I have a sewing machine and still haven't taken it out of the box! One day DH took the box to the basement because it had just sat in my office for months, unopened.

Not since home economics in middle school. I really want to get one and learn though. Already thinking I can ask for one for Christmas this year, since we will have room in the house for one.

I have an inexpensive one that isn't great but I do alright with it, I can sew some basic things mostly curtain panels, pillows, a simple skirt, things without too much detail. The learning curve isn't too bad once you are taught how to use the machine, most everything is easy to look up and there are tons of tutorials on every element of sewing I have ever needed!

I own one and took a class at a crafts studio in my town to learn how to use it. It's been a really long time since I've used it, though. If you're going to sew you also need to iron most of the time, so it's pretty much impossible to get in a "quick sew".

My MIL got me a vintage Singer for Christmas and spent a few days teaching me to sew. I know how to follow a pattern and made a skirt. I'd like to try making a dress next!

I've never tried. MIL has promised me one for a couple of years, that I haven't gotten yet, so I haven't bought one. Just waiting on her so I can finally try to learn.

I can follow fairly basic patterns. My Mum is a super sewer. She made my wedding dress, and even made the pattern herself. So she taught me the basics while I was growing up, but I don't own a machine

I love sewing! I belong to a sewing group that meets every week. We all work on projects and help each other out if we have an issue with a pattern. I've made all kinds of housewares, like pillows and oven mitts, and clothes for myself like matching robes and nightgown sets and skirts. I just made a set of reversible bow ties for my brother and am finishing up a dress for LO. I'm pretty crafty in general but I especially love sewing because if you can follow a pattern, it pretty much always comes out nicely! It's relaxing to me too, once you get in the zone

I use mine almost every day! I am currently making a quilt for my brother's wedding gift!

I'm in the process of make a memory guilt. I've been slowly working on it for almost a year now. I know the basics. Hate cutting fabric!

Yep! I taught myself a few years ago I don't know if I'm any good, but I've made a few small quilts and bags. I actually need to bust it out tomorrow to make some draft snakes for our house!

Yes! I love to sew. I've been doing it for years--first my mom taught me, then I took a home ec class, and now I'm just all about following directions and figuring it out. I'm going to be making a couple quilt for the baby's room!

Yes! I have a sewing machine. I would say I'm a beginner but I'm learning still! I'm making my sister's prom dress!

I own one, but I've only sewn straight and zig zag lines with it. I've never messed with the tension either.

I own one, but I'm definitely a novice. I prefer fairly simple projects. My mom is great, though. In fact, she's here this week helping me with two crib bedding sets!
