I didn't know what mine was until I looked at my credit card statement today - they include it once a year.

Yes - we get the free credit reports done once a year and we also just had them run when we applied for a mortgage.

I just found out after signing up for credit karma! I kept seeing it on TV and then a coworker raved about it.

We recently rented a house, so we checked our credit scores. We went through a realtor and was so glad to hear that if we wanted to buy a house that they would be welcome us with open arms.

Yup because we just bought a house!
@snowjewelz: I use credit karma to monitor also, but that score vs my real score was a difference of 30+ points.

@Alivoo01: Oh really! It's funny b/c we bought a house & car in 2013 and I'm sure my credit was checked but I never knew what my score was!

@snowjewelz: Yea, they don't tell you outright, but you can always ask them and they have to tell you. I did when I was on the phone with the lender. A few days later, they also mailed me the report they pulled with my score on it.

Yes, we saw it last on the paperwork for our mortgage. Before that, for our car financing.

yes, only because we're in the early stages of buying a house. otherwise i'd be going off the last time i checked it (when we bought a car), which was a couple of years ago.

I had a general sense of it, but this thread encouraged me to go check the specifics. I usually check about once/year.

Yep. I'm obsessive about my credit score and worthiness. Plus, Discover credit cards just added it to their statements, so that's an extra bonus for me!

I don't check it regularly, but I do know it from previous transactions {home purchase, car financing, home refinancing, etc.}
DH and I like to see who's is better and we claim victory even if it's a measly 10 point margin.
