We scraped up against another car's bumper while parking the car over the weekend. I felt so awful and we left a note on the windshield apologizing and asking the owner to call us, and left Wagon Sr.'s cell phone number.
The guy called us a little while later and thanked us for leaving a note, saying people don't really do that anymore these days. He said the scratch doesn't seem to be a big deal, but he'd call us later this week if he feels he needs to.
Even though I hate that we hit this guy's car, it makes me feel really good that we left a note. We've been hit and run (and keyed!) in the past and we've never gotten a note... maybe that's why I felt so convicted to leave a note!

He was incredibly gracious and told me not to even worry about it and that he would have it taken care of. I offered to pay him cash for the repair if he didn't want to involve insurance, but he said he had more of that than I probably did 
and that he was just amazed I'd taken the time to let him know. It was so embarrassing but his response was incredible and I hope to pay it forward should that ever happen to me!
