Our neighbor lets their kids play IN the street. And I think it is weird. Yesterday I noticed they got these bright orange sign they put IN the road saying "caution children at play." Which... okay? But its a road.

I mean I totally get kids playing NEAR the road, especially where we live because relatively small lots. But we also have a large park with tons of green space, a playground, and a splash pad literally 2 blocks from our doorstep.

And we don't live in a culdesac or anything. We live in a development of maybe 300-500 houses, and we live near the front which means a decent amount of through traffic for people getting to the back part of the development.

Anyways. Just wondering if I'm the weird one here think it is bizarre that they're sort of staking out the public roadway as their kids' play space....
