So I've been hearing how it's good for baby's little tush to get some diaper-free time, but our floors are carpeted, so I'm a little hesitant to let him do this. Do you do this, and have you ever had an accident? =P

Yes and yes. It's only been a pee accident, though and pee is sterile! Haha. It cleans up pretty easily.

I use those picnic blankets that have plasticy stuff on the back but are washable an then put a cotton quilt over top so I can see if he wet somewhere. Then it all goes into the washer!

I wouldn't but I probably should because it's good to air out. I'd do what @scg00387: does

I do something similar to @scg00387, but my guy isn't very mobile yet so I can get away with using a waterproof crib liner with a baby blanket on top. LO loves it!

Heck no. I don't want to clean up that mess. I guess mine does run around after bathtime a little bit, but she often pees on the carpet. Then she says 'TISSUE!!!' and tries to clean it up in a very cute way.
