I distinctly remember from one of those home design shows a few years ago one of the decorators said she couldn't stand ceiling fans, they were just so ugly.
Ugly or not, I couldn't live without them! It's hard enough to keep our house cool on summer days, I can't imagine not having ceiling fans to keep the air moving.
Do you like ceiling fans?

I hate them! I don't hate the look of them necessarily, but I hate them on because I don't like air blowing on me. It makes me cold instantly. DH always has to have one on though so we are constantly turning them on and off and "arguing" about it haha

We have a few in the house and it's made a huge difference in our main livig space. While I don't LOVE them, it gets so stinking hot upstaris with the vaulted ceilings I can't imagine not having one. I like having one in the bedroom too.

We just took two ceiling fans down and put in different lights but man oh man these ones were UGLY, like 80's ugly. Gold and all.

Yes! I couldn't live without fans. Ceiling fans are great because they're out of the way! I don't mind floor fans (and the noise they make is relaxing), but ceiling fans are my first choice.

They don't bother me aesthetically, but I have no use for them personally. I HATE the feeling of wind being blown on me.

Oh the whole, I don't hate them, as it's hard to keep our house cool in the summer. I don't mind the one in our bedroom because it's decent looking, but I HATE the one in our living room. It's ugly fake Tuscan.

I love them. One of the first things we did when we bought our house was install ceiling fans w/ overhead lights in all of the bedrooms and in the living room.

I love them. I have trouble sleeping without one. I feel claustrophobic without the air circulation.

I think they're great! Sure some are ugly, but some are nice, and they save lots of time before having to turn on the ac.

I love them too! We couldn't keep our house cool without them.
Now...we have awful 90s ceiling fans in our house that we're replacing one at a time. Those, I can't stand, but we're getting better with them!

They are a must for us! I've never lived in a home without them in all the bedrooms and main living areas.
