I saw a couple episodes while we were on vacation and eh didn't think it was that great
Should I give the show a 2nd chance?

Mrs. Confetti's blog post today just talked about this show.

But maybe it's worth another shot after you read how much it has helped in her house?

I really like it! We sing a few of the little "songs" everyday in our house for tantrums, stressful situations and trying new foods

we love it! J especially loves it. We sing the "when we wait, we can play, sing or imagine anything" and it does help him wait for things. And also the, " you gotta try new food cause it might taste good!"
J loves when we sing the songs with him. And Daniel has great little lessons, and he plays so nicely with his friends

At first I didn't like it. I'm a loyal fan of Mister Roger's Neighborhood, and I didn't think the show could live up to the original. After seeing how much DS1 learns from the show, I can't help but to fall in love with it too. There are so many great lessons, and Daniel Tiger has helped is communicate better.

I've put it on a few times and she likes it for a few minutes! Daniel needs some pants...meow meow!

@autumnlove: And I think his mom needs a new shirt, haha!
I like it, but I haven't watched much of it because it seems like is never on.

It's okay! Catarina whines so much & Chloe started whining. We don't watch it as often now.

@MamaJ: I can't stand Bubble Guppies! LOL We watched one episode.
I really like it. I think it's very age appropriate in it's lesson. I think it's so much better than any kids shows out there.
@Boogs: haha I think it's so funny she hardly ever has a wardrobe change. But! In some of the newer winter episodes she has a coat & scarf!

We like it, but Super Why is a bigger hit around here (even though I get annoyed at some of the stories that they change).

i like it! i don't want to admit how often i sing, 'when you have to go potty, stop and go right away! flush and wash and be on your way!' while walking to the bathroom.... they have lots of great little songs and i see many LOs start singing them in appropriate situations.

@lovehoneybee: we love super why too! those two are our big hits. we tend to alternate (or let her choose) which gets watched when there is tv time

@mrs. bird: LOL DH always sing...Grown ups, come back! Sometimes LOL Bad boy.
@lovehoneybee: @bhbee: I've heard lots of great things about Super Why on here! She's seen it a few times on the PBS app but def not her favorite.

@bhbee: Yep, they are the only two shows we let him watch except for occasionally Elmo's Potty time DVD. Or sometimes a movie (Tangled or The (new) Muppets), when one of us is sick.

We like it. My husband always asks why anyone would make a show for preschoolers that teaches about using the potty and getting dressed and not have the main character wear pants

@locavore_mama: I'm fairly certain that Super Why was a big part of why he became so obsessed with the alphabet--at 18 months he can verbally and physically identify all of the letters (the show, plus Dr. Seuss's ABC book, plus his foam letter mat, plus magnets, plus the song, lol).

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Yes the whining grates my nerves on the show. I was afraid LO would start acting the same way so we don't watch it.
Maybe I just caught a bad episode though since everyone else seems to really like it.

I think it's cheesy and he is annoying. I hate his voice but my son likes it okay. It's a play on Mister Rogers which was a far superior show. I prefer Yo Gabba Gabba which has good music at least.
