I LOVE it.
DH does not. There are no good dimsum places here so I haven't eaten it in over 2 years!

No way, 2 years -- that is sad! We just went yesterday. Luckily, I taught DH to love dim sum.

I had it for the first time over Christmas break with my sister. I never knew what to order so I never went on my own. It was yummy! Now I just need to find a good local dim sum place.

@Andrea: Omgggggg luckyyyyy.
DH is so freaking picky! I think he doesn't like it because he hasn't had good dimsum.

@chopsuey119: for sure, it is delicious. i am working on having the LO like more dishes. yesterday she ate 2 steamed roast pork buns, sticky rice, and 1 steamed egg yolk bun for dessert. it was a lot of food!

Yup! We have a place we go with Papa Y's parents when we're in town.

Just had it yesterday! Typically go with husband's family, so at least 2x a month. Sometimes I get tired of it though, haha

I LOOOVVEEEE it,
but the only place to get it is in Chinatown which is about an hour from where we live.

Love it! Before baby, we used to have dimsum almost every Saturday morning with the in-laws.

LOVE it but also often wonder if the quality of meat is good. I'll still go though!

I LOVE dimsum! There aren't any dimsum places here Last I had it was in Dec while we were visiting my Mom. It was DH's first dimsum experience - he loved it too!

The best meal I've ever had was at a dimsum place in London. We don't have any in our city though and when we go to a big city, we're not really sure how to find a good dimsum place, so my husband and I just talk fondly about that one time in London.

@mrsjyw: Oh my goodness!! You're missing out!!

LOVE it and so does my husband. There are a few alright places around here but not Chinatown style!
We get our fill when we go back to NYC to visit my family!

Not a fan. When I was living in Singapore, the professor I was working with took me to what was supposed to be the best dimsum place in Chinatown. I really didn't care for it.

I LOVE dimsum. The only thing I don't like anymore is that alot of places around me are transitioning towards HK style dimsum places and giving tables a menu and you need to check off what you want instead of carts. It's not the same, and now I only go with my mom, seeing that I can't read chinese.

I love dimsum! It's comfort food to me. I grew up with my dad order/asking for things, though, and to this day I can only order by sight/pointing. I only know the names of a couple items.
DH isn't as big on dimsum. He'll go if I really want some, but it's definitely not one of his first choices.
@crash8o6: I would be totally lost with a menu!

We went to an amazing one in Portland the morning after a wedding and loved it! We haven't been to one since, I have no idea what to get, I miss my "translator" friend that was with us in Portland!

I love dimsum, and my husband loves it too! There's no place closeby now, but when we're in the US we usually go at least once to a place in Flushing with family friends.

I had it once in San Francisco and loooooved it. I want to go again and recently found there is a place in my area that does it on Sundays for lunch. I might have to drag my husband there sometime.
