Every time I get out of the habit of working out I drag my feet about starting back because I think its going to be awful. In reality I actually like working out! I have more energy and it makes me feel better about myself.

I like to run. I never thought I would say that, but the last 2 or 3 years I started really enjoying it. I also really like yoga, but never get to go (and can't really afford to go regularly).
I hate, hate, hate "working out" or strength training. Like, it takes so much more motivation for me to do 15 sit ups than to go for a 5 mile run. Its ridiculous.
I also really enjoy hiking and playing soccer- but I do both of those things as hobbies, the exercise is a bonus.

no. i have never enjoyed working out during the workout, i've enjoyed the benefits, but not the workout itself

@Silva: sit-ups are my favorite! I hate running though.

@Leialou: haha. It really sucks after having a baby, because no amount of running is going to solve my tummy pooch issue, but I HATE strength training and cannot ever do it regularly enough to make a difference.

I don't love it but I can't go more than a few days without exercise or I don't feel myself.
Also, I love to eat. Exercise lets me eat what I want thankfully. So using that way of thinking, I love exercise.

I've found since having a baby that I need activity/exercise every day to regulate my moods and energy levels. I can get away with exercising only 4/5 days a week, in general. If I'm active the other days. I love it. I do a lot of different fun stuff - but I'll really be happy once the rain goes away and we can get back to really fun outdoor stuff.

I'm the same way! LOVE working out....but SO hard to stop after a hiatus (and it's been a long one)

I was obsessed once I got motivated and worked out 5-7 times a week, but now I'm dragging my feet bc it's been too long and I know how hard it will be to start again

Same. I hate getting into it but I love the feeling and the energy I get from it once I actually get going.

@mrs. bird: that is my answer exactly!
I haaaaate exersising but I can't deny that it makes me feel so much better after.

Sometimes I enjoy it but mostly I haaaate it. It does make me feel a million times better though, so totally worthwhile.

I agree! The hardest part is starting but once those endorphins kick in, I get addicted!

I hate working out, but I usually feel good afterwards.

I like how I feel afterwards, but I don't really enjoy it while it's happening!
grapefruit / 4582 posts
Yes. Mostly because its my only "me" time and I ALWAYS feel better afterwards
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
yes, but i hate running, i love lifting weights and crossfit and stuff like that. I feel like a lazy sack of crap feeling shit if i don't go, and i hate that most of all!

HELL NO. Unless it's dance or something fun. Otherwise I feel good AFTERWARDS only.

I hate doing it, but love the way I feel when I'm done...but I fall otu of it so easily! I wish I just DID it regularly like part of a routine.

I love it, I am just lazy! I love the feeling after you work up a sweat; it feels good!

I actually enjoy it but I just started again after a long break.

I hate cardio. And I hate getting sweaty. I have super thick long hair and it's so hard to get clean & dry. "Air dry" is impossible and blow dry takes at least a half hour. I hate that. Maybe I should try a pixie.

It's not so much the workout I love, but how I look when I consistently work out. But being pregnant makes it difficult to do, and I realize how much more time I have on my hands when I don't do it - haha! I'm starting to try to get back in the habit before the baby comes so it's not such a shock to my system when I actually get cleared to workout again.

I hate it up until the point of where I'm actually working out. While I'm working out I love it!
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
No. I wish I liked it. I appreciate the benefits but actually doing it is somewhere between meh and terrible.
However I really want to model good healthy behavior for C so ongoing to try to find something I really like! I do live long stroller walks at least.
