I don't. I know I will have to let my lo get it someday but, I just don't like it! Will I change my mind someday like I did about the color pink? I don't know but for now, my stance is yuck.

The kids love it and we have let DD do face painting three times at special events. I love how excited she gets about face painting; she shows it off to everyone!
What don't you like about face painting?

I think it is so sweet! I love seeing kids at events with their faces painted.

@Honeybee: it's the full face paint I don't like. I don't mind like a little butterfly or something on the cheek but when they draw a cheetah full on the kid's face? I think it's weird.
I know I'm probably the odd one out here.

@mediagirl: I agree, especially on little kids/toddlers. I think when they are older that might be more fun but for now I hope to limit her to just something small on the cheek.

@mediagirl: Gotcha. We haven't done a full face yet and I'm not sure we would. It can be really expensive! We paid $3 at the Easter egg hunt for DD to get a spider (with sparkles lol) painted on her cheek. I think they were charging upwards on $15 for a full face painting? Too rich for my blood!

I think it's cute, but I was thinking along the lines of something small on the cheek also. Didn't think about full face! I think I'll keep it to something small. Plus, I think a full face would be a mess to clean up/wash off later.

I took DS to this event at a local library when he was maybe 6 months old, with a friend and her kids. They had facepainting going on, and I let the lady put a little duck on DS's cheek. I made sure it was hypoallergenic and all.

@Dandelion: Cuuute!
I think it'd even be fun to get my own paints this summer to paint little things on my nephew and niece when we're outside playing (DD is too young to care)

I never got my face painted when I was a kid, I hated being dirty or sticky and that included paint!

I think it's great. Small or big, the kids love it. We have loads of it because we're big into halloween so that happens at least once a year. The boys love it when I take the paints out and do their faces.
I guess I've never thought it was something not to like? I don't see how it at all negatively affects the child/parent/strangers?

I never liked it when I was little. I do think the whole face painting thing looks weird. I'll let B do whatever he wants when he's older though.

I like the little designs but the full face is kinda scary!
