I can't watch gory parts of movies, which is kinda funny since DH and I love zombie movies. 
I usually have to cover my eyes when gory scenes come on, though.
We watched two gory movies this weekend (Drive and the new Conan movie) and I feel like I kept getting blinsided by the gory parts! I wish there was some warning that a gory scene was about to come up...

Sometimes it depends. I have LOVED American Horror Story on FX and it can definitely be super gory in some episodes! Can't wait for season 2 in the fall.

I'm not a fan of them and cringe when things happen, but I can stand them enough to get through the movie.

Nope I can't do it. DH made my go and see one of the Saw movies in the theater, and I was just mere seconds away from walking out!

Nope, I'm a chicken and hate gory/bloody/even scary slasher flicks! I like mysteries and action but cover my eyes any time it gets even a little bloody. Criminal Minds even gets a little much sometimes for me! haha

I'm someone who watched Human Centipede 1 and thought it wasn't gory enough. But Human Centipede 2 made up for that. So, yeah, bring on the gore!

@mrsjazz: LOL! Really? Human Centipede wasn't gory enough? I think I only actually watched like 5 minutes of that whole movie; the rest of the time I had my hands over my eyes!

@Honeybee: Hahaha. Nope, not gory enough. The idea of it is gross, but I wanted to see more of that and less crazy killer.
Oh and Drive was a pleasant gory surprise. The way Christina Hendricks was taken out, we had to rewind!

I like them to a point. There are definitely times when I will cover my eyes, but usually if it's something very detailed that looks exceptionally painful. Sometimes it doesn't even have to be gory. You know that scene in Misery where she smashes his ankles? Not gory, but I canNOT watch it.

@mrsjazz: Drive really surprised me. It is sooooooooooo slow in the beginning and the gore doesn't actually start until like halfway through. Christina Hendricks' head being blown off in such detail was a surprise, but what really got me was the guy Ryan Gosling curb stomped in the elevator. Ahhhhhhh! It was so bad!

@eiko2010: Ooooooohhhh, that's a good point. Sometimes the suspense of what you don't see is worse than what actually happens. I can't watch that scene in Misery either.

I can watch gory/scary movies, but only when DH is watching with me. I recently tried to watch Mirrors alone, and had to stop the movie in the middle. Doh!
I have had some really vivid nightmares while pg, and a few weeks ago, I woke up screaming in the middle of the night (I still remember that dream). So, I have curtailed most of the gory/scary movies for now.

I could not stand that scene in Drive. Seriously, it was awful.
@eiko2010: I can't watch that scene in American History X either! I think both Edward Norton and Ryan Gosling are really cute, too, lol, minus the curb stomping.
