I used to go to them as a teenager but haven't been in a few years. I'm not sure I would be interested in them anymore though. Do you like haunted houses? Will you go to one this year?

Loooooooove them. I love being scared. I like to be the first person in the group so that I get scared first.

@Bao: dh and I went to one at the end of september. He's kind of obsessed with halloween! I regretted it because they made it smell horrible and I almost threw up!

@Bao: I don't like haunted houses! We'll see if the kids like them though - if they do, I'll try and suck it up ha.

I use to but no interest anymore. Same with roller coasters. The older I get the more scared I get!

I used to love them! My overall threshold for tolerating creepiness, gore, and heart palpitations has gone down a lot over the years, though.
@loveisstrange: I used to think (actually I still think) that would be so cool!

@FliegepilzHut: It was a really fun job. I also did makeup for people, which was great.

No. I like scary movies because I can turn them off, but I feel trapped in haunted houses...

@Ra: YES! We can hold hands and be ridic together. LOL
I love being scared. Although, I'm not easy to scare, I kind of made it a mission as a teenager to try and scare the crap outta myself all the time, and now haunted houses are not that scary any more. Likewise, there are few movies, I find, that actually give me the creeps.

We are going to a "Field of Horrors" thing tonight where it's a haunted hayride, then a haunted house, then a haunted corn maze, and then a "zombie hunt" with paint balls. I am terrified.

Noooo! You can't pay me to go! Ok, maybe you can, but for like $100 at least

reading this thread is giving me anxiety... needless to say, i hate them. i also hate scary movies. i feel like my heart is gonna stop! i have vivid memories of trick or treating when i was about 5 and a guy popping up from behind a bush and chasing us WITH A CHAIN SAW. i still think about it every halloween and it traumatized me. my mom almost assaulted the guy.

@.twist.: I have the same problem! I am not easily scared anymore. I don't even startle that easy.
Steve and I have tried spending the night at a few "real" haunted places because I want to see a real ghost. No luck yet!
