I used to love them, but the past few years I have had a harder time tolerating them. I will watch them still, but definitely not alone.

@Bao: LOVE them, but i have yet to watch a movies that really scares me, i went to see poltergeist when i was 12-13y/o...i have been hooked to scary movies since then...

I'm the same way. I used to love them. Now, I'm a complete wimp and can't watch them. DH watched the walking dead two months ago and I've been having zombie nightmares!! It's horrible.

Yes, I LOVE them!! I love crappy horror movies; in part because there are so few good scary movies, and in part because campy horror is so much fun!

If I actually watch a movie, it's a comedy. I can't dedicate time to a horror film.

No, I hate them! My husband loves them, but I can't stomach them. I once (foolishly) tried to watch The Hills Have Eyes with him and I had to turn it off after 20 minutes. I think I'm still traumatized!

Have you seen The Mindy Project? I was like yes I've slept with a knife under my pillow pre-LO and my husband got back and was like WTF. And sleeping with the murder mask is pretty genius if you could sleep and breathe through a mask. -

Yup! I think what makes them scary is the "jumpy" factor, not so much the actual fear.
