I always thought I'd settle down and grow old in southern CA. Moving out to GA was crazy and I hated it at first, but I've grown to really love it here.

@Leialou: I didn't know you lived here.
I love Atl!

90% of the time. This is my hometown and where all of my family is! But where it's so rural and in the bible belt I get annoyed with its occupants sometimes.

Yes, I love it. I was born, raised, and live in the same area. Small, Southern towns and beaches!

Eh. I don't mind the state or even the region but I don't like the town we're in right now. We're hoping to move sometime this year.

@Danizaur: Agree. I love it here, but the mindset of people sometimes aggravates me. I wish it were a little more accepting and less judgmental!

@Smurfette: I born and raised in Augusta. I moved to Texas with DH in '08. He interviewed with his company in Atlanta first and they sent him to Houston instead.

Surprisingly, yes. I live in one of the most dangerous, gritty cities in America but I love it here.

I love it here!
@rahlyrah: I liked living there too! It was a major consideration if we had moved back to the northeast.

I like where we're at in general but I could stand to not live walking distance from my in-laws....lol

I LOVE MY CITY!!! I moved to Sydney, Australia 9 years ago and I still feel like I'm discovering new things every day. There is a reason this city tops the lists of most liveable (but unfortunately least affordable) in the world.

I haven't lived in this town for even a year but so far I like it!

i love ny but just wish it wasn't so crazy expensive. i do miss certain things about la (food, driving, great outdoors, cost of living!), but overall i prefer ny.

I love Long Island...I just wish it wasn't so darn expensive to live here. I drool over the houses we could afford to buy in other areas on House Hunters.

@swedishfish: Same! We live in Boston and I can hardly watch HGTV because it makes me so crazy to see what we could afford in another part of the country.

No I don't. I am surprised so many people love where they live! Where are these places?
But really, it is good for certain reasons and great for raising kids so that's why we are here.

I like it pretty well, but at heart I would love to move back to the DC suburbs.

It is ok. I would prefer a place with more to do, but I like the small town aspect of where I am. I'd also really prefer to go somewhere where the winters are warmer. The whole near zero thing gets old fast.

Love it. It's a pretty good city - lots to do, yummy food, low cost of living. Texas in general is awesome be cause everyone has so much state pride! We live in a great neighborhood with a lot of diversity. Plus we are fairly close to my family and the flights to DHs family are doable since we have a major international hub closeby.

Love/Hate relationship. It's a great place to raise a child but it's super competitive.

I love California in general but I'm not a huge fan of the city we live it. It's just so dang hot in the summer! I hate it. And the air quality is horrendous.

New Orleans is home. I love it. I just wish I could transfer my family here.

In terms of lifestyle I love it, but since we don't have family/friends here I wouldn't stay.
