We're hoping for a little more land, but if we end up staying here, that's ok, too. We could use more storage space, though.

We just bought last summer with the intention that this would be our forever home. It needs some updating, but nothing that can't be done over time.

I'm in an apartment, but living here for awhile longer will allow us to pay down debt quickly once I am working full time come January. So we'll likely stay since it's cheaper. But we want to move!

We're renting and don't plan on being in this house much past the end of our lease in late winter 2016.

I chose 10 years though really it will probably be more like 20-25, but it's not our forever house. We want to stay in this home until our kids are grown and out of the house, but after that, we will downsize. The house is just too big for only 2 people.

Not sure. I think we'll definitely be here at least 10 years. Once LO goes to college we might move in closer to the city since the main reason we're in the 'burbs is for the schools.

We're in our forever home which will need quite a few renovations over the next few years. I use the term "forever" loosely though, as I don't think that I will die in this house. I suspect we will downsize after our kids are settled down and we being to lose the ability to maintain our current home.

I've recently watched both of my grandparents retrofit their houses with stair/chair lifts and convert 1st floor rooms into bedrooms and I have no desire to do that to our home. I'd rather move to a ranch style or assisted living than have to do major work just to stay in my home for a few more years.

We are in our forever home.. until retirement. Once we retire we'll move. The only other way we'd move is if a perfect opportunity came up in our same neighborhood. We have a bad driveway and no back yard so if a house similar to ours came available that had everything we have plus a back yard and better drive we might sell/buy. But space wise, school wise, location wise we are there.

We bought our house in 2009, with the intention of it being a starter home. We did pick a great school district just in case we needed to stay longer than we intended. We put on an addition and finished 1/2 the basement. in the 6 years we've lived here.

Its the things that we can't change that's going to make us move sooner rather than later. Our street is really busy, we share a driveway and dont have a garage. There's limited closet space and if we have a 2nd, the kids would have to share or we'd give up our spare room which my mom uses frequently.

3 months ago we had our realtor come out and run numbers, looks like next spring we'll be listing. Ideally we'd stay in the same area but we're also looking at an area closer to my parents.

It's our forever home but still needs a lot of work. I'm not picky about the house details. It's all about location for me, and it's perfect for our family.

Not forever but I feel like it could be if we converted the attic space into another bedroom and did a kitchen remodel.

I love our house, it's perfect for now and can accommodate some growth. We've been found lots of projects lately to make it more ours. But, when we are an older bigger family we will probably need more yard and a bigger kitchen.
I don't know when we'll need to upgrade or where we'll go, but I'm enjoying it here for now

We're here for the long haul, however, we have a long list of changes. We've completely renovated the yard and recently replaced the windows. The next big project is the kitchen (I can't wait)! There's a bunch of other things we'd like to change, but we love our location and if things go right, we're staying right here.

We have been in our house 4 1/2 years and we plan on another 5 years. Basically until LO #2 is out of daycare and our income opens back up.

Nope. And we will likely live in several more houses before we finally move into the house we will retire in. I feel like as our lives change (our kids grow up, jobs change, interests change, kids move out), our needs in a home will evolve, too.

We plan to move within the next 12 months, and then will probably be in our next house for 5-10 years. No idea what's in store after that!

No, I anticipate that we will move in the next year or two. I love our house and our location, but to realistically be able to afford two kids and a house, we need to either downsize (we are already in 1100 sq. ft.) or move out of the city.

As long as I can find a more local job, we will be moving in less than 3 years. Our house was meant to be a starter/young family home and we predicted moving in approximately 5 years. It's been 5 years, one wedding, a baby and now a second due in a few weeks. It's ok for young children, but will need to be upgraded as they grow. Technically, we could make it our forever home but it's just not what we want to be in as our main, pre-downsizing home. We also want to move to a more rural area.

We are expats, living in an apartment and we expect to be where we currently are until 2019 at the latest. We will go wherever the wind blows us next, and it could be as early as 2.5 years from now. A forever home isn't going to be in the cards for us for at least the next 10 years.

I think so! I would love to stay in this house while our kids grow up. We are thinking of buying a small cabin/cottage on/near a lake upstate in the next 5-10 years and we might retire to that in the future. Or I could be dreaming. But we currently live in a great, family friendly and affordable area.
