I live next door to my parents. I love it, not for the help as much but for their relationship. It makes me so happy for my kids to have a great relationship with their grandparents.

Yep, my parents and DH's parents live in the same neighborhood (about 6 houses away from eachother!)and their neighborhood is ~10 minutes from our house. My sister lives 5 minutes the other way.
My extended family lives ~30 minutes away and DH's extended family live ~20 away.
We're all right here!

we live 30 mins away from the ILs and 2 hours from my parents. but we are looking to move MUCH closer to my family (like 10 mins away) and then my ILs would be like an hour from us, once we have a baby.

We live about half an hour from my ILs and my SIL (my side) and about 2 hours to most of DH's other immediate family. I wish everyone lived closer.
Most of my family lives across the country. I wish they were further.

We live across the country from my parents and several countries (plus an ocean) away from DH's. Parenting without any family around is one of the things that scares me most

We are a 5 minute drive from my parents and 2 hours away from DH's. I am glad to be so close to my parents! It's been great since LO arrived about a month ago.
