I always write things and go "LOL" at the end. DH told me last night that I cannot LOL myself. Um, wrong! OK, maybe it doesn't really make sense but I like to use it make something funnier!!

Sometimes I seriously laugh out loud while on Hellobee and the hubs thinks I'm mental. I write "LOL" a lot on my posts to convey that what I'm writing is supposed to be lighthearted. But what's crazy is that my students will SAY "LOL" in a sentence like this, "...That's funny. Elle-oh-elle." WHAT?

I use it when I'm conveying that I'm being sarcastic or joking around. Usually I'll say 'haha', but when I text certain people, its lol.

You know what's weird? I totally do what other people do in chat. I IM with a coworker and she ends her sentences with "lol" all the time to indicate she's joking or just thinks something is funny. So I do it too. But otherwise I probably wouldn't... I actually type "haha" more!
