Do you all shop on etsy? I find it a bit overwhelming to navigate but finally bought one thing, and I love it! It's a mobile for the nursery!

I agree that it's overwhelming. I go there if I know what I'm looking for.
LO has a little dress from there that I love. My husband and I went to rival schools so it's half and half. She gets so many compliments on it! I also just bought my friend a fertility necklace because they've been having lots of trouble TTC. And I bought my bridesmaid's gifts there- jewelry.

I love Etsy, but you're right - it can definitely be overwhelming!
We found our letterpress wedding invite designer on Etsy! I also LOVE this print that we had framed and put above our fireplace:

There are a lot of junk listings to weed through but I'm happy with my purchases!

I LOVE Etsy and buy things from there ALL the time. If I know exactly what I want, then it's fun looking for it and usually I can find what I'm looking for quickly.

@betsyboop: She is one of my favorite artists in all of Etsy. I'm pretty much in love with all of her prints and want to fill up our future-nursery with her stuff! Here are a couple baby-related ones I love:

I used to LOVE Etsy, but after a few bad experiences, it's just meh to me! I've gotten screwed twice by sellers (one never sent the item, gave me a sad story, then when she finally sent it, it wasn't the right dimensions), the other time, a seller put up a distorted picture that totally changed the color of what I was buying and she refused to be wrong.
When an experience is positive, I feel like I've gotten so much for my money + all the warm fuzzy feelings of that sweet, personal touch. But when the experience is bad, it's like dealing with a family member ... I feel so bad about it. In the end, I think it's just too personal sometimes (both good and bad).

I like it but I find it annoying when sellers say they customize things but then never respond to your email! Also, whenever I send a note to a seller, it always looks like I sent it to myself, so I wonder if they even got it. Right now I'm waiting to hear back from a seller about a bunting for the nursery. She hasn't responded and it's been 4 days. How can I expect good service from someone once I do purchase something if I never hear back from them? Eh...I might have to look elsewhere.

I love etsy, but I have to go there with something specific in mind. I get overwhelmed if I try to go there & just surf

I liked it during wedding planning and purchasing, but haven't used it much since. Maybe once we found out the gender I can do some searching, I've had mostly positive results with sellers (minus one for a name sign I purchased as a wedding gift, took 6 months to get when they said 6 weeks.)

I love Etsy. I've bought a bunch of different things from there from different stores and been happy with all of them.

I own a ton of things from Etsy. It's pretty much where every gift comes from, as well as a lot of our housewares and art. I've yet to have a bad experience, and have made 77 purchases there since I signed up 3 years ago. I also request custom work pretty regularly.
That said, I always check into a sellers feedback and regularly have conversations with a lot of them. I've even recognized an invitation designer I used a year ago over on Weddingbee who is pregnant, as well. I think it's important to see how many sales someone has, if there is actual written feedback left (not just a positive rating) and to see how long they've been a part of the community.

I love Etsy. I mostly buy art prints and sometimes jewelry. I miss the suggested shops tab. I used to always find another great shop through that.

I haven't used Etsy since wedding planning days. When I had something specific to find, Etsy was a goldmine! I haven't really had anything to buy specifically handcrafted, so I haven't surfed. I will definitely be on the lookout for baby things in the future

I love it when I remember to check Etsy. I usually use it more for inspiration, but my latest purchase was a custom ring for DH. His original wedding band ready lost it's rhodium plating and we wanted something a little more durable. The carbon fiber rings in the stores he hated because they have that fabric look but loves the look of this ring. Cannot wait to get it!
We just purchased a single ring but it looks lime these: http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/04/27/19-studies-link-gmo-foods-to-organ-disruption.aspx

I bought this baby name charm for a friend from an etsy seller and i LOVED it. I also bought the typewriter initial necklace for another friend of mine after the great experience I had with my first purchase.

I absolutely LOVE etsy!!! I started using it for our wedding & haven't stopped
@chopsuey119: wow! I bet once/if you make a purchase it will be hard to stop!!

@Mrsbells: what was wrong with them? Sad.that a couple of bad sellers have to ruin it for the rest of them.

I buy everything I can on etsy! I love it and they should give me a commission, I have turned so many people onto it I have never had a bad experience with a seller and I'm sorry to hear that some have. I have also bought lots of custom items, and have always found the sellers to be responsive and helpful. But there are always going to be a few bad ones, I guess.

@banana: I love these, I'm going to have to get one for all my soon-to-be-mommy friends! (And maybe one for myself too!)
I'm surprised by how many people used etsy for wedding-related things...I don't think I even knew what etsy was when I was planning my wedding! Gosh, so out of the loop, I missed out...

@chopseuy119: Oh, she'll love it! I love that it has a typewriter font (doesn't look as cheesy). lol. I was totally blown away by how cute everything came packaged up in the mail too.
@betsyboop: I'm totally gonna get one for myself too! Once we figure out what we're naming our 2nd baby, I'm planning on getting a necklace with 2 little initials. My friend wears hers as a bracelet sometimes and it's super cute like that too.
