I'm right with you on this one! We're a pretty musical family. It's like Mister Rogers' Neighborhood over here. Everything turns into a song. Example: "She was a Daaaay Pooper! Pooping in her pants!" sung to the tune of Day Tripper by the Beatles.

All the time! I squish her name and nickname into all sorts of songs. I also sing about boogie wipes (Boogie Nights) and sleep and diapers. I hope no one in our building can hear!

DH made up lyrics to Oh Danny Boy in the car this afternoon. It had to do with LO's first dirty diaper in two weeks today! It stopped her from screaming so I guess she liked it

We did this an embarrassing amount before our son was born! Now we sing made up songs non stop. Current favorites are "planting some trees" (a son for when my husband left for work today) and "car seat" which is always performed as we buckle up. Nerd Alert.

Yes I do sometimes when we are playing around Ill sing about what we are doing. Drakey loves songs right now and memorizes so many so its nice to keep up the variety

I do. Right now I sing a made up bathtime song as part of routine. As soon as I start singing it, she stops what she's doing, starts dancing and trying to sing it back to me.

Hahaha! Love this! We used to make up songs for our beagle before we had a baby but now we make up songs for him! I wonder sometimes, though, if he'll get confused since we alter his name in all sorts of ways? He's 7 months old.
