I have a lot but some expired recently. I need to weed them out and replace the ones I use the most.
I also need to organize my spice cabinet because it is a total disaster....

I have a rack and an entire cabinet, but I"m sure more than a few are expired.

I have a ton. And they're on a short shelf in our cabinet and not that easy to get to! I try to keep them separated by savory spices and sweeter spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, etc) but haven't been doing the best job lately.

I have a ton but I need to toss the ones I never use because I'm sure they are super duper old by now...

@autumnlove: Don't feel bad! I just bought Old Bay this past weekend (at Whole Foods, no less...damnit--$$$) after making sure we DIDN'T have any....to come home and find the generic version in our endless cabinet.

Too many to count and I need to do a clean out. MIL hoards spices (in addition to many other things) so she always brings us new spices...(when we've barely made a dent in the old ones).

I have over 60 spices. I just did a huge organization of all my herbs and spices - labels, new glass jars, the works. I should post a picture because it is ridiculous. We cook a lot and use them regularly, but I could probably get by with a lot less.

I have such a mixture of different containers and brands. I can never keep track of them so I have 3 gingers and 3 cinnamons and I'm missing other stuff that is important.

My husband is addicted to spices. We have like 3 cabinets full and have all these organization devices from the container store. It looks like if we decide to seek help that I will be able to form a support group with some of these ladies

I have a shelf in my cupboard devoted to spices but I need a new organization system because I stand there picking up bottles until I find the right one because I can't see the labels. Side note: we bought some Penzy's lemon pepper a couple weeks ago and it is our new go-to seasoning. So much tastier than any of the varieties I have tried from the grocery store.

OMG, the timing of this post! This is what I have spent my morning trying to figure out. That, and why I have 3 containers of sage!

@autumnlove: I will when I get home. DH even makes sure they are in alphabetical order, and you wouldn't believe the several(!) discussion we have had about where to put the white pepper or red pepper flakes.

We have a lot but I use them all the time, so it's ok. I really don't have duplicates though so there isn't much to organize.

I have just way too many! I cook both American and Indian cuisine regularly so I keep them separate. I have my awesome Indian stainless steel spice jar container which holds all of those and then all my non-Indian spices are all over the place. I know I have duplicates and need to become better organized!

This photo is from two years ago when I went through and finally organized all my spices. Now I have so many homemade spice blends that I use so often that there's an extra row of jars on the counter as well! I used my label maker to put each spice name on the lids. It looks super clean and makes my OCD very happy.

I have about 8 jars, that is it. I threw out a lot when we moved and I haven't been cooking enough to warrant more.

So here are most of my spices. The bulk of them are in a drawer. Salt, pepper, and cajun seasoning are in the cabinet with larger jars (peppercorns, cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, etc). I have a metal tin for sweet spices and extracts/emulsions. Not all of them fit in the drawer, so whole seeds and bigger things are in a bamboo box.
I got the jars from World Market and I downloaded the labels from World Label by Emily McDowell

Wow! I love how you labeled your spices, so cool! @TemperanceBrennan:
