After the thread about "common household items that you don't have," I started wondering:
does anybody own an ironing board?

YUP! DH uses it when he needs to dress up for work which is about every 2 months!

We own one. I've used it MAYBE twice in the 3 years we've been in our apartment. DH uses it more, but probably something like 6 times a year. I just don't wear things that get really wrinkly and he gets his shirts dry cleaned.

Yup, I bought the little cheapy one from Ikea. I was using towels on the floor before.

i iron everything. DH laughs about the fact that I have a need to iron t-shirts.

@Foodnerd81: We work for a dry cleaner, and all of DH"s work stuff is cleaned for free. Everything else we do through work is discounted, so I see no need to own one.

Nope. We don't even own an iron. We have a garment steamer and its been good enough so far.

Nope! I don't even have an iron! But they're on my Christmas list, so maybe my parents will buy me one.
I'm pretty good about hanging my shirts and stuff up after they are washed, so I don't usually need to iron. And Hubs throws his clothes into the dryer to "dewrinkle" them every morning!

I have one of those tiny ones that hangs in a closet from IKEA. For the amount of stuff I iron, it works out. If I needed to iron more, though, I would definitely get a full-sized one.

Now that we own a steam dryer, we never use the ironing board. DH dries all his work clothes on the steam cycle and it cuts down on a ton of work!

@Honeybee: oh my gosh. I have never thought to do this. My poor steam cycle has just been waiting around for me to use it!

I'm so lazy about folding and putting away laundry quickly that it all gets wrinkled. So I definitely use my iron!

We do, but honestly I can count on one hand the number of times we've used it! I have been known to bring things to the cleaners simply because I don't care to iron them

My hsuband uses it every single day, because he refuses to send his work clothes for dry cleaning. That's the saver in him! He Dryels his work pants, washes his shirts, and irons both pants and shirts, because he's minorly obsessed with everything looking crisp.
I use it rarely, maybe twice a month.
All the men in DH's office dress pretty well (like the pic), so I think it's a "keeping up with the jones's thing". Adorable!

Confession: I love to iron. I have two irons, a steam iron, and a big fancy ironing board. I may or may not iron our sheets.....

We have the mini kind that just goes on top of the counter. @Honeybee: I agree, steam cycle is one of the reasons we got our dryer!

I do. However, it's mostly a holding station for clothes that I thought I was going to wear, but then changed my mind at the last minute and didn't want to take the time to hang it back up. I maybe iron a couple times a month.

I own two (one big one small). But I only break it out for special occasions. For daily/ more frequent use, I *love* my steamer!

I do, and I use it every day! Normally I would just pop it in the dryer but we are currently living in an apartment where the washer/dryer is 5 flights down!

I do (a mini one) but it's been at least a year since I used it.

@PurplePumps: I use a towel on the table lol
We don't have one

I do. But I don't iron very often. Normally if something is wrinkled, I throw it back in the dryer. But there are those items that are just super wrinkle that you just have to iron.

We have one, but I only use it for ironing seams in sewing projects and ironing wrinkly fabric before I cut it. Neither of us wears button down shirts or anything that needs to be ironed.

I never use it... But my husband irons his work clothes a few days a week.
