Before I had kids, I used to watch the cashier scan everything and would check the prices as they flashed on the screen.
I took the kids to Target today and just realized that I have no idea how much I spent! I remember signing the pad thing.. and that's it.
Just checked my online bank acct to see how much my total was.

Yes half the time I am distracted by what my LO is grabbing at so I don't stare at the screen anymore!

I never pay attention. I know we have the money and I know I need what I'm buying. Drives DH nuts.

I never pay attention. DH always asks me how much I spent and I can never answer. Hopefully I haven't missed any extra charges!

We have a cash budget for groceries so I have to check. I keep a tally as we shop (rounding up or down) so I know we're close to our budget. I don't watch as every item scans but I do make sure all coupons scan and if the $ seems off I ask about any deals (BOGO, etc) to make sure they scanned as priced. I think I embarass DH!

I pay attention, particularly at Target, because things ALWAYS ring up for more than the shelf tag says!

My husband and I do the shopping together with our son, so I watch the checker and oversee the bagging, while my son and husband walk around.
I am too annoying to not watch, esp. with coupons!

I always pay attention, mostly because of budgeting. We also price match when grocery shopping, so I have to be a bit more obsessive about that. Totally embarrasses me sometimes, but its worth it in the end.

I normally don't pay close attention, but recently when I did, I figured out we overpaid by $10 at the grocery store. I clearly need to pay attention more often!
