People at my gym tend to be older and so I try not to look around.
Do you people watch at the gym?

No treally, I watch tv and listen to my music.
Although last week, the woman next to me on the elliptical was TALKING (SHOUTING) on her phone the entire time and I could hear her even through my headphones!!! So I stared at her a coupole times, hoping she'd get the hint.

I don't go to the gym right now, but when I did before I never did. I am a very self conscious person, and I always felt like people were staring at me, and I hate that feeling. I know that no one was "judging" me or anything, but I would never want someone thinking that my looking at them, was somehow judging them. I normally just have a book/magazine up if I'm doing cardio and I focus on that!

Not really, at least not to the point of where I am really concentrating on them or anything.

Nah, I go to a smaller gym so it's not that crowded. I try to keep to myself! When I'm in a class though I do kinda glance at people just to see who I'm around (older vs younger, etc).

Not usually but yesterday the man on the rowing machine next to me was making some really crazy "karate" noises. (like yelling hiiii -- yaaa! like you would imagine a ninja yelling in a 90s kung fu movie...) It was hard not to pay attention to him...

The gym is usually empty when I go! I work later hours so I generally go between 8:30 and 10. I guess most people have left for work by then. If there is another person there, it's usually an older person. Probably retirees or something.

Oh, except ps: one time this girl was there with her laptop doing a workout video, like P90X. I thought that was a little annoying because it was playing out loud. She wasn't using any weights that I saw, so I was wondering why she didn't do it in her apt (and our gym is actually in our building). Weird.
