I'm a compulsive pimple popper. I also get cystic pimples and regularly lance and extract them myself. I'm a pro. I don't have any scars. It's even worse when I'm pregnant. I used to put neosporin on it if I popped a big one, now I put breastmilk on it, lol.
At Christmas I got a cyst behind my ear and I actually cut it open with a craft knife, lol. I went to the doctor a few days later and he was appalled and equally impressed with my skills, lol.

It's so bad. I wish I could stop. Pregnancy has forced me to, since I'm not breaking out at all right now, but once they come back I won't be able to leave them alone.

DH hides his from me. I think it's disgusting and I don't know how we got to this point in our relationship, but if he has one one on his back I am like a magnet to it haha omg.

Me too! Oh it's bad - I purposely look for *something* to pop before I wash my face each night. I'm trying to stop - I'm not nearly as skilled as @Navy_Mommy because mine always leave marks.

Ugh, I do too! I can't stop! I'm no pro, but I too look for ones to pop before washing my face. YUCK. Terrible terrible habit. I am hoping that once the LO comes, I won't have the time to search and pop!
Interesting @Mrsbells: I'm going to try the lemon juice for my marks --- perhaps tonight! I don't have many, but enough that it bothers me.

I'm guilty, too. I need to try the lemon juice thing. I'm assuming you do it after it healed a little because lemon juice in an open wound like that sounds painful.

I'm not nearly as skilled, so I just leave scabs that I then continue picking at. Every single time, I tell myself, OK, self, you know this NEVER makes it better, leave it be. You always make it worse. Fast forward a few hours of my touching it all day, being aware of it, just feeling in my head that it's getting huge an poppable... OK self, let's try this. Oh, hey, look-- you made it worse, good job.
If I'm being really shameful-- I had a craft knife that was dedicated to scraping away at a plantar's wart that I had for ages. I actually forgot about that until now. I was about to say I never did self surgery but then I remembered that. Ew.

I'm compulsive about popping pimples. I hate, hate, hate whiteheads! Luckily, I have no scars and thankfully don't get them but once in a blue moon. Husband is grossed out by my weird obsession with pimple popping and runs if I try to come near him when he has a zit.
